KEYS!!!!!!! 1122Nov 20, 2015 11:24 pm That is lovely Nikki, is it a duckegg or grey? Whichever it is it looks so lovely and warm. Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. KEYS!!!!!!! 1123Nov 20, 2015 11:26 pm It's a duck egg tone Mal, just a touch lighter. The picture don't show it off all that well but it's going to be amazing once we have the charcoal carpet and blind in!! Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. KEYS!!!!!!! 1124Nov 20, 2015 11:38 pm oooo beautiful - can't wait to see it! Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. KEYS!!!!!!! 1125Nov 21, 2015 1:00 pm Looks awesome and your painting is so neat. Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. I'm a broken woman! 1126Nov 23, 2015 12:03 pm 7 days (if you include last weekend) and we are almost done. Just a final coat needed in the main bathroom and laundry. I'm exhausted Last time we painted anywhere we had more pairs of hands and I definitely under-estimated how big some of our rooms are! Just to add to it, turns out DH isn't that great at cutting in so I ended up with the tricky areas like bathrooms to do as well as being solo for three days! Since nothing can happen at the house now until next week (unless the blinds turn up) it's all about packing this week. We have already taken over about 20 boxes that were never unpacked when we moved in 2014 but now I have to start sorting out the rest - uggh! Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. KEYS!!!!!!! 1127Nov 23, 2015 12:06 pm Sharry Looks awesome and your painting is so neat. Thanks! I've had a fair bit of practice over the years to be fair. I'm not the fastest but I'd rather be careful as I don't like to look up and see where I've painted cornices! Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. KEYS!!!!!!! 1128Nov 23, 2015 12:06 pm MalSannie oooo beautiful - can't wait to see it! I'm so excited to see this room finished now! Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. I'm a broken woman! 1129Nov 23, 2015 12:47 pm That is a beautiful colour!! And well done on painting yourself. I am planning on taking annual leave and doing our painting too, but its a bit daunting and not sure if I should save the $$ and pay someone! On the other hand, it would be nice to actually get a bit hands on with my own house. Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. On the other hand, it would be nice to actually get a bit hands on with my own house. It was definitely all about the $$ for us. DH's uncle is a painter so we got the paint at trade price. All in we spent less than $600 to paint the entire house! I would just advise that if you do it yourselves to take a bit more time than you think you need. I thought 5 days would be plenty!! Oh and make sure you seal the walls first. Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. I'm a broken woman! 1131Nov 23, 2015 1:45 pm Looks lovely!!! We had chips in the paint in most areas after the flooring was done... We had chips in the paint in most areas after the flooring was done... Thanks Hootie. It was always a bit of a tough call - paint chips or splashes on the floor! I'm hoping the carpeted areas won't be too bad. At least going round after the flooring is in will be a bit more comfortable. My knees are done in after a week of kneeling on concrete! Just make sure you keep it ventilated and don't do it on too hot a day! We went through and got it done in a couple of days, we did have help though. Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. MalSannie Your poor knees - and much respect for even attempting to paint it all by yourself! I'm much too lazy for ( and not to mention completely rubbish at) painting. Tried it once, thought it would be 'easy' - it isn't! It certainly made me realise I'm not as young as I was! DH helpfully suggested the kneew pads - as I got to the last room!! archetto Love the colour and well done! Look forward to more pics The rest of the house is pretty neutral so am going to wait until the furniture is in for the full effect. Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. I'm a broken woman! 1140Nov 24, 2015 3:27 pm Congrats on handover Nikki, how relieved you must be! Love the glamping photos, and OMG that view!!! Well done on the painting too, we're only brave enough to paint our downpipes. Hi there, We’ve recently had plans approved to add a 1st storey addition to our existing house for a growing family in Sydney. With the current cost of building… 0 4298 It seems very clear to me that your contract states that a security account does NOT need to be established so the answer to the builder is NO. If in doubt find a contract… 1 8510 2 31355 |
