Cabinetry - Photo Over 738Aug 20, 2015 10:20 pm Thanks Nikki Really appreciate the advise and information that you have given..... Which sewage company did you go thru??? Price range???? Size of tanks???) Like I said this is out of my comfort zone... We have build before but the building company did everything.... Building in a rural area is different and I think maybe more expensive... Just the hidden costs that you don't account for or know know about, and we don't want to be caught short of $$$$$$$ Cheers Karen Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. Cabinetry - Photo Over 739Aug 21, 2015 10:45 am trixee Nikki, your kitchen looks great! They moved pretty fast on that one didn't they! AKB Wow kitcheh looks amazing Ps Karen my sister lived in the stables at Rosa Park while the owner developed it - lovely spot I especially loved the old sand stone cottage down the back (Sorry for the hi jack Nicki) That's fine AKB Thanks both! I love my kitchen and can't wait to see it finished. Nobody has mentioned the gap at the bottom on the right hand side. Not sure if everyone is being polite or it really isn't that noticeable?! It really bugs me everytime I look at the picture now! I have mentioned to the SS so it should hopefully get sorted. DH keeps telling me you won't notice it once there is some flooring - but that's not the point! Re: 1st build Redink, Lwr Chittering. Just the hidden costs that you don't account for or know know about, and we don't want to be caught short of $$$$$$$ Cheers Karen Hi Karen, Don't worry - keep doing your research and you soon become an expert in things like septics and water tanks! We were going to use the guy that did our earthworks for us (fairly standard process). However he right royally screwed up the water tank pad level so we decided not to get him back for the septics. We have gone with a company called Nexstep plumbing. DH has worked with them a fair bit which was how we knew about them. They do quite a lot of work with the ATU systems but they do the standard systems as well. They use the high grade plastic tanks rather than concrete which makes it a bit cheaper too (except when you hit rock during installation!!) We're paying about $9k for a 3000ltr baffled (split) tank with 2 x 16m leach drains. That doesn't include the rock breaking cost which we estimate is going to be another $1k. Rural building is a bit more expensive because of the extras that need to be done. Just make sure you shop around and get the best price. There are plenty of tradies locally. When you decide on your builder see if you have the option of doing your own earthworks. It's a bit more labour intensive but it is more cost effective and a good way of networking for when you need work done in the future! Hi there, We’ve recently had plans approved to add a 1st storey addition to our existing house for a growing family in Sydney. With the current cost of building… 0 4392 It seems very clear to me that your contract states that a security account does NOT need to be established so the answer to the builder is NO. If in doubt find a contract… 1 8575 2 31453 |
