Hi all,
If I want to install my glass splashback after handover, would it damage my wall since my builder insists that they need to put some wall tiles in behind the kitchen? Does anyone have any experience in doing this?

Obviously this is for fire-safety reasons and your builder won't hand over the house to you until the permit is obtained. I believe if you get your builder to put in a fire retardant cement sheet behind the cooktop in the kitchen that should meet the regulations and will likely be much easier (and neater) to remove than tiles when you want to put your splashback in. The other option is to talk to your builder as to whether they will allow your splashback supplier/installer to access the site during construction - some builders are more amenable to this than others. Need to remove glass panel out of concrete without wrecking the glass to get the spa room in, any recommendations on how to do that. Thank you 0 39045 |
