I'll be back tomorrow to meet Mr Foxtel, but nothing has changed since the carpet ones. Actually... I do have some! The fence is down and the front door handle is on. Give me a minute... They look lovely, but I have so much trouble opening them and even did myself an injury (and drew blood!) opening one in a display. Am I totally uncoordinatedd or does everybody find them tricky? As you can see, we opted against them! Yeah I hate those too, I had the same problem! My in laws have one so I use it all the time. It's actually not as bad once you get used to it. In saying that we've got a simple front door handle. I think yours looks fancy compared to what we're getting! And woohoo on PCI!!! They finally followed through. Bugger about the shower door :/ Fingers are crossed for you for OC to be done ASAP! Re: KDR:Coral Daydream 28:SW Sydney - PCI complete! 709Sep 24, 2015 8:54 pm Yay for PCI! That's great! You're on the home stretch and will soon be living in your beautiful home. Re: KDR:Coral Daydream 28:SW Sydney - PCI complete! 710Sep 26, 2015 12:10 pm We have a problem. A pretty big one I think. The Foxtel guy came to do installation yesterday and when he was in the roof cavity he noticed he could see our kitchen. Yep! Behind the microwave/oven tower is nothing. They removed the plaster because it was done incorrectly, but apparently they re-installed the kitchen and didn't put all the walls back up. Thank goodness we go the Foxtel guy there otherwise we would have been none the wiser. Sure, you can see it if you stick your head in the microwave cavity, but who does that? It's right above where the microwave will sit - hello rodents! ANYTHING could crawl in from the roof space! Grrr, I've just sent an email off, but I can't see us moving in any time soon... To fix this do they need to uninstall and reinstall the kitchen? My friends roof insulation wasn't installed and they didn't know until they went to see and the building inspection was done for the buyer. You would think for PCI they would have checked in the roof too and seen it. That's ridiculous. I know they're all only human but still.... :/ Hope it gets sorted quickly. Rest of the house looks fantastic though! Re: KDR:Coral Daydream 28:SW Sydney - BIG problem :( 716Sep 26, 2015 9:58 pm Oh no!! Definitely not something that can be left. Argh it makes me angry, surely someone knew they were leaving it like that when they were doing it..!? Hopefully they make it a priority to fix. Now, this is going to go against everything I said 8 months ago, but I'm authorising the payment to go through so we can do handover this week. I don't care at this stage whether it takes them six months to fix the wall and the benchtops. I really need to get into our house (or out of where we are to be more specific). Driveway and inspection tomorrow. Let's hope for sunny skies to get that driveway down.
