Reminds of My Big Fat Greek Wedding Keys in 2 days!!!!! You must be sooooo excited. My mom has a non leather sofa from Ikea and it's lasted many, many years. Cover can be washed and that's super handy. She did say that the covers never quite fit the same, not as snug, as when you first get it, but overall she's quite happy with it. I'm a HUGE Ikea fan. Some of it is pretty cheap stuff, but you get what you pay for I guess. I enjoy a trip to Ikea if it's not too crazy busy. I'm weird like that I guess. But everything is so organized and it gives me such great ideas. I love that movie ardie! So beautifully quirky! I sat on one of the lounges at Ikea and it was super comfy. Might have to have another look down the track now you've said that about your mum. Thanks! Melsie68 Windex lol .ardie that movie is so funny .it reminds me of my dad with my two older sisters .rach are you getting your keys in two days still . All will be revealed in a minute Melsie! PerthAussie2014 Oh wow I've missed soooo much! Rache, it all looks BEAUUUUUUTIFUL! Stop worrying about the garage door, you're pointing out flaws that only you can see! It looks lovely, and once you get some garden happening you'll not be focussing so much on the building itself plus a couple of shrubs or pots here and there will help to visually break up the facade. It will not be noticeable to even you then I bet! Congrats, bet you can't wait to finally get in there! Aw thankyou so much Emily! And yes I am really ready to be in there now. It's been a long haul and we are nearly there! Re: Summit build in the South West - Garage door pics for yo 1163Jan 17, 2015 12:50 am Okay belzey, dee and Melsie..and all my loyal H1 crew! Let's just say there were no bells and whistles - all pretty low key actually! Pardon the pun!! So we are 'signed off', with a list of commitments to after handover jobs, like the ridge capping, some patch and paint, and Jasons windows return for rusty awning winders and fixing a few other bits. Turns out I have to go to Bunbury to get my keys!!! No biggie though coz we have never been locked out!! I have spent the day vacuuming all the floors alongside the lovely cleaner, coz didn't want any dust going on the ...wait for it....freshly painted walls!! Yes they have made a start, quietly, with all the walls sealed and a first coat on the hallway and kids bedrooms. The white duck quarter looks lovely - darker than I expected, but still fresh. Hoping its not too dark with the kitchen cabinets. Will know tomorrow coz they will be doing a 10 hr day! Yippee!! And yes I promise to take some photos!! The kids chose their own feature walls and décor. My eldest son chose a dulux suede - aspen mist. Lovely light grey. He is teaming it with a Sheridan Anise seascape quilt and a black suite. My other son has flooded gum to go with a Harvey Norman kaleidoscope quilt, and his light wood drawers and desk. Freckle Face, who is beside herself about the possible purchase of Stewart, is having dulux red box with a white suite and the most divine white wild horses print. I have decided on beige royal for our wall. Very subtle I know, but my bedroom inspirations always look something like these beauties. I just love them and am hoping to create something similar. You were up so late last night!! I am so incredibly impatient and want everything beautiful straight away!! Reality has a different take on it sadly! At least it will mean I really think about what I would like and will really appreciate it once I get it!:-):-) Re: Summit build in the South West - No bells and whistles!! 1171Jan 17, 2015 12:43 pm Burnsfirsttime Congratulations!!! It will all turn out how you want it. You've got plenty of time to do it perfectly Enjoy your gorgeous new home!! You are so right Burns! I have to remind myself there's no hurry. As long as we all have a bed to sleep in and something to sit on everything can wait. Aaaahhhh!!!!!! I do hate waiting!!! Hehehe!!! Thankyou! :-) Re: Summit build in the South West - No bells and whistles!! 1172Jan 17, 2015 12:49 pm Rache At least it will mean I really think about what I would like and will really appreciate it once I get it!:-):-) Yeah but it bites while you wait tho!! I have this huge list but have had to put it in order of urgency. And until our landscaping saga is sorted, I have had to reallocate money to cover gardens Think of it this way ... you will find that something awesome when you least expect it and it will be meant to be. That's how I look at things. Rache Thanks Marcia. You were up so late last night!! After I wrote that I fell back asleep by about 1am, then the house alarm went off at 330am and woke us all up ... bloody wind blew the back door open and tripped the sensor. When hubby is away I arm the perimeter at night for peace of mind, tonight I will remember to lock the door with the key. It's really comfy though, the name started with something like Tid.......(can never remember the names.) Not that I need a couch. Glad someone else agrees about "moving" cushions Melsie!!! Rache, I love beige royal too. Was a toss up between that and russian toffee for my kitchen and in the end I went with russian toffee only becos my FFL walls needed a bit of a stronger contrast... Rache Thanks Bonnie and Trees for educational discussion!! I just thought the Welsh B was taller than the A, so have learnt something new today too!:-):-) sorry for hijack, when it's horses I go a bit cray cray... Only the wet areas and my sons suede effect left to do!! The beige royal in our bedroom is perfect! A subtle contrast to the white duck quarter. And the kitchen looks fine with the white duck too. Very happy! Yeah I know, no pics it didn't happen!!! Tomorrow, I promise. Have been out most of the day and all evening - just bush bashed from the neighbours place to ours to check it out!
