I really like that letterbox - a little bit different and modern - might have to be copycat when we need to get one eventually Re: Our 101 Residential build - Queens Park - Letterbox advi 242Feb 25, 2015 11:04 am Thanks Mal, I like it too So hubby and his mates laid all the paving at back and sides yesterday in 41C heat! Proud of them and they've done a great job. Just need to concrete the edges. He's doing retic today and putting lawn in tomorrow so will be all good for moving in on the weekend. Our builder won't let us do anything until key handover, such a pain. Looking good ... oh and I like your choice of letterbox, sometimes simple is elegant all by itself. Does it come with the numbers on it like that or is that a name plaque thing you will have to do yourself? Re: Our 101 Residential build - Queens Park - Letterbox advi 244Feb 25, 2015 11:14 am Marcia My goodness, yesterday was so hot, hats off to them for getting it all done. Numbers & name plaque are additional. I think the plaque would look silly that low so I think we'll just go numbers. I think we've chosen similar pavers for the alfresco Re: Our 101 Residential build - Queens Park - Handover 27/2/ 246Feb 25, 2015 8:03 pm Wow super impressed em. Looks fantastic. We're hiring someone to do lots of paving for us after handover and it's not cheap. We asked about retaining wall and paving before keys and were told maybe. Right now too much chance of damage but maybe closer to handover. Would be so fab if it works out that we can. Glad you encouraged me to ask. 2 more sleeps right? Yay!!! I think we've chosen similar pavers for the alfresco They have done a great job, very proud. Hubby prepped all the rest for lawn yesterday, and doing retic & laying the lawn today. He's been working his butt off (more so than the builder & trades I'll tell you!). The pavers look schmicko. ardie514 Wow super impressed em. Looks fantastic. Yeah we got a quote too after hubby was pretty buggered after working for a week on the big fires, but were told it would be like $3k (labour only). So he dusted off his gardening clothes and got stuck into it. Glad you asked and hopefully they let you get in there. 1 more sleep now Melsie68 Looking really good . Hey thats the new hot water system . Is that the solar Mine is huge . And ugly .lol It is solar yep, I have no idea if it's new or old. It looks pretty big though! haha So they have a LOT to do before lunchtime tomorrow! Supposedly redoing the tiles in laundry - new tiles showed up a couple days ago but no sign of a tiler yet. I should be excited but I am so stressed out that stuff isn't going to be finished or that the bank won't come through with the cheque on time. We have our new bed suite showing up on Saturday but unfortunately Minkz couldn't deliver our dining suite, entertainment stuff until Thursday. Here are some pics Took one of the front yesterday with garage door down. MalSannie Em that looks fantastic - good luck with tomorrow can't wait to see all the pictures - and also the new furniture Thanks Mal! Off to pick up the cheque for the bank shortly. I'm sure I will be back with pic overload in a week's time! archetto Good luck! Thank you archetto. Stoked that the day has finally arrived! So hubby was at the house at 6am this morning to finish off the backyard and said that the place is buzzing with trades. Even the SS is on the tools! He called us last night to say the laundry tiling will be relaid today but we won't be able to walk on it until late tonight, which is ok as we are moving tomorrow. Something else that will be finished this afternoon but can't remember what. While I'm glad that everything is hopping today, I still think that there was no reason why it had to be all happening this morning. Barely anything off the PCI list was done last week, so time management again is the issue! Anyway in 4 hours we will be getting keys, woo hoo! Re: Our 101 Residential build - Queens Park - Handover 27/2/ 259Mar 10, 2015 8:35 pm Sorry I have been MIA. Busy moving and unpacking and throwing a 4yo birthday party! We are happy with the house even though there are still a few things outstanding from PCI. Some were sorted last Friday and others we are still waiting for. Our lovely CLO had her last day on our handover day. She will be a loss to them for sure. Anyway here are a couple of pics. I remember when we were neck and neck with our builds. Great to see your homely touches 1 4642 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17518 |
