I wish they would just take a little bit more care, and pick up the phone if it looks like the power points are in an unusual position? Seriously annoying. Cross fingers for quick fixes. Cape Horn - I remember now - I thought you had written a random post about somewhere you had been!!!! Looks really lovely chick. Oh, and there's a bearded man in your shower...!!! Re: Our 101 Residential build - Queens Park - Pavers! 202Jan 11, 2015 11:42 pm belzey Haha he is repping the beard too lol....love seeing pics like that. Regarding your issues how damn annoying, all those things will cause delays hope they fix them for you nice and promptly. It's all looking great em. Yep everytime I spotted something all I could think of was "delay!". Ugh. Luckily 101 have been really responsive with problems in the past so hoping they'll be on the ball again. So frustrating, that I'm expected to be an expert in reading building schematics to ensure power points are at the height we requested. Oh well. We are still waiting for an update from our CLO and really frustrated that barely anything has been done in the past week and a half. The insulation did get put in on Monday though and hubby says they've moved the spare tiles out of the bedroom so maybe carpets are going in soon. We were stoked with the progress during December and now we are 2 weeks into January with barely anything happening. Frustration city. And I'm with Rache, you have a bearded man in your shower! You would think common sense has to prevail about the power points and I hope RI do the rightey by you, regardless of what the plans say. We too have seen things this week and gone back to the plans and thought darn it, we missed that. Ours are a bit easier fixed than yours tho. Looking good - not long now! Re: Our 101 Residential build - Queens Park - Pavers! 206Jan 14, 2015 11:43 am Youre going to get some lulls em unfortunately. And January is always slow coz lots of people still on holidays. Take a deep breath chick! Your progress has been super so far.:-) Re: Our 101 Residential build - Queens Park - Pavers! 208Jan 14, 2015 11:57 am Marcia Oh Em, so close to that finish line. Looking good - not long now! hehe yeah weirdo bearded man! He's pretty happy with himself because he chose the shower roses. 101 Residential not RI but same same but different hey! Yeah the one in the pantry we can probably fix ourselves but the ones on the bench just suck. Hubby thinks we wont notice them when the stools are there.... Rache Youre going to get some lulls em unfortunately. And January is always slow coz lots of people still on holidays. Take a deep breath chick! Your progress has been super so far.:-) But I don't want lulls!!! hahaha I want to go back to December when everyone was jealous of my progress! We are up to Week 29 this week since slab went down (14 months since signing up), who knows how much longer to go. That said I think my frustration with this has been increased just because of other crap going on at home at the moment. You know how it is. Melsie68 Ems you probley going to put bar stools there .you wont even see them . I know its frustrating but your at the end . And a new chapter will begin Oh look Melsie agrees with my hubby... bugger - you guys are supposed to be on my side!!! Apparently the paving has been delayed because he is waiting for the plumbers to check the soakwell heights (funny that we thought they looked too low when they were put in 6 months ago but the pros wait til now to check). But he reckons we will have PCI in 2 weeks time. Who wants to bet that will be 3-4 weeks time? Yes I'm being negative nancy today! But at least it is some time frame indication that we may be in before Easter! I need to remind myself that plenty of others are taking much longer (My sister is building with National and signed up 3 months before us and hasn't even got her roof on yet!). PS - When I went and had a look on Wednesday it looks like our towel rails, toilet holders and door handles have all been done so there has been a small thing done this week! Re: Our 101 Residential build - Queens Park - Pavers! 211Jan 16, 2015 8:12 pm No one likes those lulls em. Especially annoying im sure after such a productive december! Hope you're in by this Xmas! Kelsey78 Love your tiles!! Those power points under the bench look far too low. I would defiantly question it! Thanks! I did question it. Unfortunately it's clearly marked on the electrical plans and we didn't double check it. Well let me list all the things that have happened in the past week... * Flyscreens installed Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ * Stovetop & Rangehood installed finally Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ That's it. Here's what still remains to my knowledge: Tiling and brickwork under cupboard in Laundry Carpets Appliances Delivered & installed Some Powerpoints and some lightswitches to be completed window treatments Garage Door wet area silicon (supposed to be done this week) Paving (was supposed to be done "early January") wardrobes Main Electrical Run in to house Front door staining & door handle aircon controller installed External lights - 1 left PCI On top of this frustratingly slow movement, we had a phone call from our neightbour behind us on Sunday morning saying our smoke alarm had been going off all day/night Saturday and was still going. I sent a message to our SS and had no response. We followed up with emails and calls to the office on Monday, Tuesday and again today as it is STILL going off! We obviously can't get into the house to deal with it either. The neighbours are quite rightly furious - apparently until today (batteries are dying so it's not as loud) it has been an extremely loud piercing noise! Our CLO is equally frustrated it hasn't been dealt with. Not a great start to our relationship with our neighbours! I've just noticed from the pic I posted that the rangehood hasn't been installed! Just the stovetop! Bloody hell! Sorry about that! So... hubby spat the dummy on Wednesday. He went to the house to find the alarm STILL going off. Luckily the batteries were dying so it was no longer able to be heard from outside the house but still. He cracked it big time with our CLO explaining that the lack of action on this and the lack of communication from our SS and lack of progress on the house is absolutely unacceptable. She agreed and arranged an onsite meeting with the area manager yesterday afternoon. The big head honcho also phoned him on Wednesday night to discuss the problems. Our meeting yesterday went fairly well with the area manager guy agreeing that the communication was lacking and that there doesn't seem to much left and he'd expect PCI within 2 weeks (which we were told a week ago by the SS) then another week after that til handover. But that he would check with the SS to see what had been organised and email us with the course of action. We also brought up some brickwork we still weren't happy with which he also agreed should be fixed. He asked that we give him a couple of days to get info from the SS and let us know the plan of attack. So hopefully we hear from him on Monday with good news. He did say that apparently our soakwells need to be raised which is holding up the paving and therefore other stuff being done at the house. We noticed that one of the pillars that were damaged have been repaired but they didn't do the other. So we feel better that we will hopefully get movement happening on the house, and I really hope the 3 week timeline is correct. Hopefully we hear from the construction manager today with the plan of attack. Hubby stopped in on Friday afternoon and most of the vertical blinds have been installed - including one on the splashback window which we never expected or intended to have one on! Oh well, we'll see if we use it or not. Hope everyone had a great Australia Day yesterday!
