Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 17, 2014 4:59 pm Sooo like most people on here I was stalking the website and threads until I decided to make my own!
My partner and I have been together just over 4 years and have been talking about building a house for about 2 and a half years now and we decided to build with Home Group. We originally thought we'd only be able to get a smaller sized block but our sales rep found us a titled 17 x 30 (510sqm) block in Byford and we went for it. This will be our first home and I'm starting to get really excited actually seeing some progress! The admin side has been a loooooonggg process but I'm really hoping it's going to fly by now! The floor plan we went with is the Rivello Resort spec. This is the original floor plan, Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'm almost certain this is our finished plan, but I will take a photo of our hard copy when I can next Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is our timeline so far; 24th October 2013 - Loan pre-approval 30th October 2013 - Officially signed with HGWA 9th November - Signed for land (Was a huge wait here due to xmas breaks and sales rep going on Holidays ) 18th Feb 2014 - Land Settled 2nd May - Prestart 6th May - Developer approval 4th June - Council approval 26th June - Entered construction stage 3rd July - Earthworks started 11th July - SLABBBBB!! 24th July - Window/door frames delivered 30th July - Bricks delivered! 17th September - Brickwork started 6th October - Roof timbers delivered 7th October - Brick meeting 14th October - Plate height 28th October - Colourbond 15th December - Grey float completed 6th January 2015 - Lockup 13th Jan - Tile Meeting 22nd Jan - Tiling completed 4th Feb - Air con install 5th Feb - Garage grano down 8th Feb - Painter on site 25th Feb - Carpets completed 5th March - Paving completed/fly screens installed 6th March - Garage door installed 16th March - QCI 19th March - PCI!!!! I like your WIR change in master bedroom and the kitchen changes....extra bench top and pantry in scullary. Your going to love the extra storage in your garage. I love your plan - just wondering whether you could use the projecting wall to the front of bedroom 3 as the robe? It would claw back a bit of space for the room We're also going to add space to our garage with a roller door to the back. Looking forward to following your build!
