Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 16, 2014 5:26 pm Hi everyone, This is my very first forum experience, not to mention first potential build. I find myself newly single and about to embark on a lifelong dream of building a new home. I'm looking at the Redink Bravo 190 or Alpha designs and wondered if anyone has chosen these designs for their new home and if I can come have a look? I know that's cheeky but it's so hard to get the correct impression from a show home with all the added extras, anyway, my Nan always said, if you don't ask you don't get! Re: Built or building the Redink Bravo or Alpha SOR? 2Jul 16, 2014 7:12 pm Hi there. Sorry I can't help but welcome to the forum. We're building w redink too and I know how hard it is to not be able to see the plan actually built. Part of why we choose RI cause the plan we liked was being built as a display. Ours is just the more basic version but the footprint is the same. Made a big difference for us. Anyway if I can answer any other questions re RI let me know. We started out knowing nothing about building and have learned so much from this forum. Good luck. I'm so excited about building and this forum has definitely helped me be more prepared for what is to come. Re: Built or building the Redink Bravo or Alpha SOR? 4Jul 21, 2014 12:02 pm Hi I built the Alpha Portico with Redink and moved in this year but I don't think they do this design anymore? My plan is quite different from the current Alpha they do now. It's a design that works for me and Redink were a good builder I thought! I had a look at your house, wow, I love it, and I love all your colour choices. Very similar size to what I'm after, similar width but need it shorter so the 'new' Alpha could work well for me. Congrats on your new home Re: Built or building the Redink Bravo or Alpha SOR? 6Nov 03, 2014 10:30 pm Hi guys, I've finally done it, I've bought my very own postage stamp sized piece of land and have signed up with Redink! My footprint is similar to the Bravo 190 but it's a spacious 3x2 with no alfresco rather than a 4 x 2 with. My plans are being drafted as I type (I hope!). So excited, daunted and downright scared but here goes nothing... I have a couple of upgrade questions... I have already paid $243 to change from gas hotplate to electric as I have no gas at my block. Has anyone upgraded to the electric induction hotplate? If so, how much? My robe recesses, linen cupboard and a storage cupboard all have no doors! Does anyone know how much RI charges for their sliding doors? I would like vinyl plank throughout the house, including baths and laundry (I had them in my last house and love them). Does anyone know what kind of allowance I would get back on tiling?
