Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Content-Living Yanchep 63Feb 23, 2015 10:11 pm HI guys/girls...its been a while! Just a pic of the kitchen so far...got some overhead cabinets to be installed soon if all goes to plan. CL have been hassle free as long you keep an eye on things which has been good. I have learnt a heap of stuff for next time if there will be another one! bedroom flooring and walk in robe for master get done tomorrow, and more trades over the next couple of weeks. Re: Content-Living Yanchep 68Feb 23, 2015 10:23 pm mfga78 overheads are going to be stainless 42mm edge with glass front and glass shelves, with a couple of led lights at the top how is your build going? u NOR? Wow they sound fancy! The lighting will look fab. I'm getting LEF strip lighting put on under side of the overheads... I have roof frame going up this week which I think is great progress given I wanted them to leave my pad alone until a month ago to let it cure nicely...I even spent time twice a day ponding it. For four days. Before the novelty wore off! When do you think you'll get PCI? Timing been ok? I've enjoyed working with the CL wan so far. We are SOR, Coogee. Re: Content-Living Yanchep 69Feb 23, 2015 10:25 pm I had hand over last week! Not much to do really, couple of minor things,... because Ive been telling them things along the way that need sorting and they do it pretty much straight away. Don't leave stuff until the last minute..( and that was them telling me that!)
Re: Content-Living Yanchep 70Feb 23, 2015 10:27 pm They are not the fastest builder, but communication is good, and mind you when my slab and brickwork was in progress we had a lot of rain, so you have done that part at the right time. your build should be quicker. Re: Content-Living Yanchep 71Feb 23, 2015 11:02 pm Oh wow, that's great you're already with handover!! Congrats! How long did your build time take them from slab down to handover? I think they call me a fussy owner. Haha. Well that's what I picked up from the brickie. Basically it's just over two months 1 week since slab down and we have roof going up now. Had two week delay in the mix as estate developer had issues with western power.... And our side of the estate didn't get power. All sorted now though! Re: Content-Living Yanchep 73Feb 24, 2015 10:14 am mfga78 Had my slab down in June, but rain held bricks up for nearly 3 weeks, and also 3 weeks with the Xmas break so all up about 6-7months from slab down should be where u heading Sweet. The brickie reckoned it would be done in another three months but I don't want to jinx anything! Lol. Enjoy your new home! Re: Content-Living Yanchep 76Feb 25, 2015 11:07 am Your house looks great! Love the kitchen. Just a word of caution. I visited one of my mate's house being built in New Haven by the same builder. They have just completed the paving of the side passageway on the property. We noticed that the downpipes do not align with the drain holes or that some downpipes do not have a drain hole. Just ensure that this does not happen on yours as it might take additional time to fix it (better to remind/advise the Supervisor prior to getting the work done). Thanka alibaba, did my storm water after handover so all good there! Re: Content-Living Yanchep 79May 22, 2015 6:29 pm Hi I've just signed my PPA with CL, how much did it cost to add the extra cabinets to your island bench and the overhead cupboards? Thanks Re: Content-Living Yanchep 80May 23, 2015 3:37 am Think Island was about $3000 I did overheads after with another company, they were about $1200. CL use Rose Cabinets south of river, u may want to contact them directly after handover and negotiate a price direct with them to do your overheads. Their quality is good and I like their standard. I would be wary. Is you site demilished but nothing else done? Sounds like liquidity problems to me. Our builder did the same.
