Congratulations! So exciting to be signed up and have prestart coming up. Are you having an Interior design consult prior to your prestart date? It is such a helpful thing to do, the ladies are extremely knowledgable and friendly and you go into prestart feeling confident and a little more prepared. It is daunting time. Please ask any questions you have. Lots of us building with Redink have done our prestart, and would be happy to help with pricing etc. We are building with Redink in Helena Valley and are hoping for our roof next week. It's been a long road, but we are very happy with our build so far, and Redink have been wonderful. Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 4Jul 11, 2014 1:03 am Hi there . So my build is finished and I built with redink in byford . I had my ups and downs . But I had a great experience with redink . From the receptionist to the manager of redink . Not a lot of people can handle the amount I stress but the ladies there understood me and listened to my concerns and at the end formed a really good bond with them . Remember every build is different at the moment on here redink seem to on a good run . Good luck . Enjoy the ride . And at the end I hope you are a proud owner of a redink built home . Any questions feel free to ask or even look at my blog . Can't wait to see all your selections . Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 5Jul 11, 2014 1:57 am Hi Nish13! Had my prestart last year. Im building with Ventura. Waiting for slab down. There's a thread here that will help you with your prestart. It's quite a long read but there's a summary which is really helpful for first time builders like myself. Good Luck! Wow your plan and selections are all amazing, read your blog and got to learn so much, I will be asking you so many question if you don't mind Yes we had interior on Wed and it's went really well, we had no idea of whatsoever but Aslea guided us and we are so happy with all the selection so far except the kitchen cabinet doors I work for Granite company and will be doing my own kitchen top n in Emerald Pearl granite but it's difficult to choose the cabinet colour, I will be going back to have a second look, I will post my selection photo later. thanks Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 7Jul 11, 2014 9:57 am Hi and welcome. I would choose a plain white or light grey cabinet to go with that granite, the granite is beautiful and really full of colour and features, you wouldn't want anything to clash with that, something simple would be best. Have you got the HOUZZ app? It is brilliant for giving you ideas... loads of photos of stunning homes. My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 8Jul 11, 2014 11:29 am Wow, the Emerald a Pearl granite is stunning. I'm with Bursfirsttime. A very light grey or a simple white cabinet will really let your granite shine. Make a list of your questions, and between us all you should get some helpful answers. Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 9Jul 11, 2014 3:07 pm Hi Nish13 Another redinker here just thought if say congratulations and welcome I love your plans! Your kitchen is going to look amazing!!! I feel your pain trying to get organised for pre start with a little one is tough but this forum is great for ideas and questions, if you need any prices or anything I'd be happy to help too one thing to remember for pre start especially with redink don't be afraid to ask for prices of things at your pre start meeting, they price it all up for you and you tick the items you want and leave the items you don't. Looking forward to seeing your selections and following your thread! Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 10Jul 11, 2014 5:43 pm Melsie68 Hi there . Thanks Burnsfirsttime HOUZZ app is sooooo good, lots of idea they are all stunning. you are right, i would like to go for white but Hubby is not happy with white so am thinking silver, i will post photo here and please let me know how it looks Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 13Jul 11, 2014 5:59 pm Hi Nish13. Welcome to the forum. That granite is beautiful, definitely keep cabinets simple so they don't distract from those gorgeous benchtops. You've got an awesome kitchen, it's huge and going to look stunning! Yes ask for pricing on anything you can think of. We ended up with about 15 pages of costs on items from prestart and it took us a week or two to decide what we wanted and could afford and what we couldn't, but I'm glad we had lots of options and didn't feel rushed making decisions. We loved Ashlea for our interior design consult. Thought she was lovely and had so many great ideas. We went in feeling a bit clueless. We're not that far ahead of you. Just signed off on final plans and waiting for building permit. Please ask questions. I had so much help from others on this forum so would love to repay the favour for others. I know how overwhelming and daunting it can be. Good luck. Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 15Jul 11, 2014 11:50 pm Thanks nish . Love your bathroom selection . I can see my kitchen splash back tile in the background lol . Tip with your down pipes if your going colour bond is to choose ones to Match your render for the front . And the others match your bricks . I don't know if your tall but you might won't to raise your kitchen benches . In built rubbish bin ($600) but worth it . Tap for water for fridge normally put in overhead cupboard . Would you consider opening the garage door the other way .you could even do that in the wip and wir and put an extra shelf in there ( just a thought ) Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 16Jul 12, 2014 8:32 pm Rosienchris Hi Nish13 Another redinker here just thought if say congratulations and welcome I love your plans! Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 18Jul 12, 2014 9:38 pm Yep can totally take your time. Between pcq and prestart we had heaps of stuff costed out so if there's anything you want pricing on please feel free to ask. Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 19Jul 12, 2014 10:43 pm Hi Nich13, really love your selections. Will come together beautifully. Some little tips for your prestart : Washing machine taps into cupboard under sink....they are out of the way. PowerPoint in broom cupboard if you have a rechargeable vacuum. Same for PowerPoint in bathroom cupboards for charging toothbrushes/razors.....out of sight I will try to think of some more for you. Re: Our first home with REDINK - Prestart booked :) 20Jul 12, 2014 11:06 pm fancy seeing you on here kellydoug lol oh if you put your taps underneath your cupboard and you are having a top loader make sure they drill hole up the top for hose so that hos for washing machine is high enough . but you can drill hole after.good points though kelly So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point. I'll drop by over the weekend to get… 5 26991 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks ❤️ 0 8933 6 11528 |
