Browse Forums Building A New House Re: RedInk Home SOR first time building on my own 61Oct 30, 2015 11:32 pm Andrea I'm so happy to hear your PCI went well - fantastic news Doesn't sound like there should be a problem with keys in 10 days if only a few minor things were found - whoohoo!! Looking forward to some moving in pics. Bet you're getting busy packing and organising the move now? Good luck with it all!! Re: RedInk Home SOR first time building on my own 66Nov 12, 2015 7:57 pm Andreabw The red shelves were not supposed to be like that but they say i signed for them so would cost me $1200 to remove. I will be having red pendants hanging over the bench top and 4 red vertical strips in my blinds so the shelves may look good. I will see how it all looks after everything is completed. Saw your kitchen on redinks FB last night and had to have a bit of a chuckle as they pointed out the red shelves and I remembered how you said they weren't supposed to be like that! Haha oh well all worked out for the best!! Good luck with handover tomorrow. Re: RedInk Home SOR first time building on my own 67Nov 13, 2015 2:49 am Hi Andreabw - have a wonderful day today - can't wait for the post key handover pictures Re: RedInk Home SOR first time building on my own 68Nov 13, 2015 6:26 pm Yyyy - finally have the keys and the house. What a wonderful feeling. Bonus was that while i was checking out last minute things before collecting the keys, the bobcat driver came along to to clean the site so with a a few dollars from me he levelled the front yard so i can now have the garden go in as well. so so so happy. Painting gets done next monday, the security doors on Tuesday, the floor tiles on thursday, Patio next week as well, carpet the following Thursday and Blinds after that. Move in date booked for 27 Nov. Cant wait. Will keep you posted. Thanks for all the support and encouragement and although a long wait, it has been worth it. You all hang in there as you will be soon. xxx Re: RedInk Home SOR first time building on my own 69Nov 14, 2015 3:15 am Re: RedInk Home SOR first time building on my own 72Dec 06, 2015 5:34 am Andreabw Whoo hoo - Had my PCI yesterday and it went really well. Only a page and a half of minor things to be fixed. Had a building inspector do my PCI for me. Was so worth the $440 as he picked up things i would never have picked up. He went into the roof space and picked up something that the builder did not do. He turned the water on in the ensuite shower and found a leak. I would not have thought to turn on the gas, lights, water etc. None of my windows had the little lock bit in the window (so the window can be cracked and security locked). The locks were there but not the stops so the windows all opened fully. I would not have thought to check that. Now hopefully it will only take 10 working days and should get keys in two weeks. Cannot wait. Your home looks so lovely I love the ensuite Do u mind me asking who you used for inspector Re: RedInk Home SOR first time building on my own 73Dec 06, 2015 12:09 pm OMG!! I absolutely love my new house. I have only been in it 2 weeks but have done so much. cannot wait for all the unpacking to be finished so the house does not look so messy. Re: RedInk Home SOR first time building on my own 79Dec 13, 2015 11:35 pm Wow Andrea you've done so much in 2 weeks it is unbelievable Love your feature blinds, we're using Westcoast blinds too but we're having bog standard white. The bathroom tiles look really beautiful and shiny. I love your lights too - the 3 pendants over the bench and the one in the lounge works really well together - well done you So still no slab and apparently the concreter cancelled. Here come the delays... apparently things haven't recovered quite as much as I thought. I've been told maybe next… 8 31800 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks ❤️ 0 9156 Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20925 |
