Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 04, 2014 12:13 am Hi Everyone, At the moment my wife and I are a bit wary of building from the horror stories our friends have told us but it might be the only option short of renting for another few years. So I was hoping to get some advice for this. First of all, how long would it take from purchasing land, red tape, to finish? I used to share a house with a family who waited more than 2 years to get their house built (I think they still haven't got it built ). Secondly, would I be able to get an idea of who the good builders are around Perth Metro? i have read some bad stories for some of them on the blogs. Finally, what should I watch out for in contracts and stuff? Our friends keep telling us how builders have hidden costs all over the place. Thank you all for your help and kind advice Generally, the texture that you listed will have a 2mm size stone chip in it which is dragged with float to give the lines Any patch work needs to be 2mm less than face… 2 1652 Versaloc is a mortarless besser block system that still needs a properly engineered footing. If you just do a 400x200 footing it will fail in time. At 17m long you need it… 1 3177 Thank you so much for the effort. We will use it to talk with builder. We also had idea of building duplex instead and seeking suggest ions. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=106744 11 10736 |
