Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 01, 2014 2:47 pm Hi, I am building with Summit homes and am having my pre-start soon. I was thinking of changing the location of my Hot water system so that its closer to the kitchen, laundry and ensuite. Does changing the location of HWS attract an additional charge ? (like a charge that is put on when the client makes a structural change). Secondly I having the option of a Rheem continuous flow or a Rheem gas storage hot water system. I am building a normal 4 bed, 2 bath house. I was thinking of going for the continuous flow one because its quite small and sleek and the temperature control feature looks really good, but reading the reviews has got me thinking. Many people complaining of having to wait till the hot water comes down, pressure related issues and stuff. Has anyone installed a continuous flow HWS lately. How has your experience been ? Does it make a loud noise when the system starts ? Cheers, Re: Changing location of Hot water system during prestart 2Jul 01, 2014 4:44 pm We just went through the pre-start process with Summit and one of our requested variations at the time was to relocate the HWS, which was done at no charge Re: Changing location of Hot water system during prestart 3Jul 01, 2014 4:58 pm I'm pretty sure that as it's not a structural change it shouldn't have an additional cost for you. I do recommend an instantaneous gas hot water system though as it just heats up as you need it..fabulous! I've had mine for nearly a year, it's a Bosch 21E. I would love to take it to my new house that I'm building but not sure if Statesman will allow that. Good luck! the sun master is the solar heating to "warm" the water in the tank the S26 is your hot water system which will heat the water (25 degrees?) so with both turned on you… 2 13724 Hi Everyone, wondering if anyone has done a prestart lately with summit homes in WA and what kind of costs were associated with adding gpo's and downlights? we are also… 0 3852 I want to build a decking to the drawn shape outlined in black.
