When our builder gave us our informal quote (not at contract stage yet) they listed Rehau HWS for plumbing. For some reason I was thinking hot water heater, but now realize it's what they included to use as plumbing. Is this stuff a lot cheaper than copper? Is it better? Will it last as long or longer? I've seen from their website that it's warranted for 25 years (10 years with 200K insurance). I know a copper install would not be warranted by any more than the building warranty, but a little worried about overall longevity. I can fix copper, but this stuff.... What you save in piping you end up paying dor all of the proprietry fittings.
