Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 04, 2014 11:12 pm We are building a Metricon home with the Isla facade and are going with face brick, with no render. http://imageshack.com/a/img840/3898/ynqx.png We have chosen Austral - Bowral Dry Press - Gretrudis Brown bricks. The display homes tend to use Dune for Gutters/Fascias/Downpipes which I seem to like. It lightens the look of the roof. We will probably go with a grey roof. My issue is with the windows, entry door and garage door. I am currently deciding between Jasper, Woodland Grey or Citi (grey silver colour) for windows. As we have a corner window near the entry and I am going with a white/grey theme internally, Woodland Grey would probably suit the most, maybe Jasper. But I know the contrasting windows look better with the bricks we have chosen ie. Citi or even Surfmist or White. I would like to stain the front door a dark brown colour. But open to ideas. Thanks in advance! Thanks in advance! I personally think that Jasper and Dune has had its day. Jasper is a very deep brown colour that may make it difficult to tie in with the Grey theme you are looking for. Our 1st build 8 years ago had a Dune Roof and Jasper Gutters, When I drive past it now I do think it looks a bit old fashioned. If its that "Hamptons" colour palette you are after then the Grey tones are much more in keeping. Something like this. http://www.donrussellhomes.com.au/prope ... pid=270609 My Build, viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64837 Re: Help needed for external colour selections 4Jul 07, 2014 10:49 pm Thanks for your help. I tried to put the colours together to get a better idea. I've used gertrudis brown with woodland grey and a dark stained entry door. Please let me know what you think. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/280x200q90/849/ftmp.jpg Our Phoenix Build: http://ourphoenixbuild.wordpress.com/ Re: Help needed for external colour selections 5Jul 07, 2014 10:59 pm sydfam Thanks for your help. Its much easier to match them all up when you see them in the skin. If you have seen or have a house with these colours I'd appreciate it if you could post a pic. Thanks! Our Phoenix Build: http://ourphoenixbuild.wordpress.com/ How much are you ahead in payments compared to where the build is at?
