The ceiling will be insulated and we're having ducted air con so should be fine. Re my post, I've actually sent a message to Mike as my husband was nervous re copyright and that I shouldn't have put it up so I deleted it but obviously can't delete Mike's enlargement and posting of them and he hasn't replied to my PM yet. Hope it's not an issue and the hubby is just being paranoid!!!
Will be in touch again shortly. Thanks for now. Re: HELP PLEASE!! 23Jun 02, 2008 12:42 am Michelle, just had a quick peek (couldn't resist ) of jodphurs on dulux site looks lovely but is only a small square, do you have any photos or know of a gallery I can look up and see an actual house that is rendered that colour? I find it hard to imagine and I suspect that the mycolor facility on dulux won't give a true pic? Thanks again can't tell you how excited I am to have discovered this site!!! They put the basic floor plans out in the public domain in brochures and their own websites. The plans themselves are copyright primarily so you don't give them to another builder to construct. You can be certain that no website colour samples will be truly accurate, even if you have a colour calibrated graphics workstation. There's no way around actually seeing a physical sample. Re: HELP PLEASE!! 30Jun 09, 2008 8:02 pm OK back again! Firstly BIG thank you to Michelle for your help/advice via PM regarding render/colours, incredibly helpful and Colour selection paperwork is all but complete now but have another question which I did a search on but couldn't get the info I wanted. We're having 2Pak cupboards in the kitchen and on the vanity units in the bathroom and ensuite. My question, I know that there is matt, semi gloss and high gloss (I think at least that's how they're described?!) and know that we don't want high gloss, but how reflective / hard work is semi gloss. Do you really need to buff/polish it to keep it looking good? I have no problem with wiping over and cleaning as required but I don't fancy constant buffing and polishing too especially with a toddler around.....what does the 2 pak Matt finish look like? Any input would be greatly appreciated from those that have either seen the various finishes or better yet experienced them in their own homes....
Thanks everyone again, will post some pics of land soon and will be back with more questions soon! Re: HELP PLEASE!! 31Jun 17, 2008 10:15 pm Have had to get my colour selection paperwork back so went for Semi gloss but would still appreciate your comments!
Also has anyone had issues with tarmac for the driveway (we're probably looking at approx 12 metre length driveway. Still awaiting for council approval hope they will start the actual build process by the end of this month..... By tarmac if you mean bitumen that was one of my first posts - back when I was shy and retiring.... https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.p ... ht=bitumen mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: HELP PLEASE!! 33Jun 18, 2008 12:50 am Hi Mike long time no speak! Was feeling decidedly unloved that noone replied to my last posting about 2 paks etc so good to hear from you albeit on a different topic!!!!
I've just spent the last few hours trawling through postings going onto the paving/conrete postings etc and I did see yours under asphalt - I guess it's all the same materials, not an expert but same stuff as on the roads.....still haven't got enough info though. Did read someones reply to your post saying about sinking and problems with it next to flower beds due to moisture and potential problems with heat. The land is near to glasshouse mountains sunshine coast so it will definitely get hot. What did you end up doing and can I see some pics?! Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7157 i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits.
