Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 22, 2014 1:56 pm Hello everyone, After much delay choosing builders, and dealing with banks, we're finally at the stage seeing some movement with the construction . We're in the process of getting the DA now, and I'm so happy to focus on actual build after such a long time! I've been trying to pick colours for our render for a while now (I needed something to keep me going...), but am really struggling with the colour scheme. Dan (from New Home Visuals) has been creating the below visuals using the colours I picked. I want to get your opinion on these. I like these two colour schemes, but I'm not sure if I have gotten close with the choices I made... Any thoughts? Colorbond Surfmist and Colorbond Shale Grey. They are good colours for a clean, modern look. I like the second one, only problem is, our tender includes black roof tiles and I'm not sure how much we'd have to pay for a variation to change to Colorbond roof . I'd like to see if those render colours would work with the black roof tiles, to the same effect?! I'll get an update done with the feature colour around garage door as well. Also, are you able to tell what render colour might have been used in that second home pic I posted? I know it's a pretty dark pic, so not sure if you can tell. Re: External render colour advice 7Jun 25, 2014 2:34 pm Love this too, with the lighter shade roof. The colour will be different in the day light, which is the colour I need to see. Sorry.
