All the networking is set up but still no Internet yet it's so hard to live without it haha #firstworldproblems. We bought a nice orange rug for the lounge and for under the dining table, new sheets and some bright orange cushions for the couch we spent a fair bit at spotlights big sale they have on. It's like nearly 30-40% off all pillows, sheet sets and 50% of all rugs etc.... Bought the 1000tc sheet set for $120 Also got our buffet and some other furniture. We have nearly everything built. Have to still rebuild our bed as it was taken apart to move and get one more desk. Just need a microwave and then head back to the old place and clean it Once everything is put away and it's all set I'll take some pics for you guys Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 462Apr 06, 2015 5:49 pm Can't wait to see the pics! Building our first dream home in NSW Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 465Apr 24, 2015 8:49 am Hi Ryan, Hope you guys are ok and your house hasn't been damaged. Are you stuck? Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 466Apr 24, 2015 9:48 am Hi firstbuild92 yeah we are ok. I've been given extensions for my uni assignments and using very bad wireless Internet lol Partner is just relaxing as much as he can. No damage to the house thank god and all the drains and surface water drains worked well Yeah the river is being fed from further up where more rain and storms were after ours so it rose a bit more and now is slowly going down. They will open the flood gates when it gets to a safe level and then we should be able to get out. They have just closed all access to Maitland so we have to use the express way to get out. I'm from Aberglasslyn so I'm not planning to go far on the weekend considering it took well over an hour to get from home to east Maitland yesterday! Stay safe. Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 470Apr 29, 2015 7:30 am Hi guys, I just wanted to ask if you are happy with your tiles? The wood look ones. Coral has a promotion at the moment with the elegance package where you get your flooring included but unfortunately the tile size is only up to 450x450 where these are 300x600mm. I think its unfair as they are included in the normal flooring allowance but anyway. I will have to pay extra to get them and also extra to have them layed as they are a hard tile apparently because they are porcelain based. I went to Beaumont to have a look at them yesterday and I do really like them! Just want it to be worth paying the extra. Thanks Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 471May 01, 2015 9:19 pm Firstbuild92 Hi guys, I just wanted to ask if you are happy with your tiles? The wood look ones. Thanks Hi Well when we went to have our appointment they said they just updated their range and our tiles were now included in the range with no extra charge. Not sure what they are like now if they have changed anything but we did a deal with our tiler to get the brick bond pattern otherwise it was just a straight layed pattern. We are really happy with these tiles and they feel great. Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 472May 03, 2015 8:18 am Hi cubs, are you enjoying your new home. I've just read over your thread and it's great to hear that although you were flooded in, that your home withstood the storm. When time permits please show some pictures of you all moved in, I've posted some pics on my thread, I'll get some more updated ones this week. Julie Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 473May 03, 2015 11:03 am Hi Julie we are very much enjoying it We finally have the Internet connected. Got to love Fibre haha Was going to take some photos once the window furnishings were installed (currently seeking a quote through spotlight) and the out door tiles in the alfresco are installed (bought the outdoor version of our wood tiles on special atm with baumont) and then I'll take pics can't wait to show all of you it all completed Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 474May 03, 2015 4:20 pm cubshome Firstbuild92 Hi guys, I just wanted to ask if you are happy with your tiles? We are really happy with these tiles and they feel great. Unfortunately I've had to cross them off my list! We have decided on the elegance package and thought they would definitely be included in that but they gave me a quote yesterday which was $2000 extra on top of the original quote for tiling. Total comes to $8500. Laminate flooring is included so I may have to go with that. Glad you guys are happy, they look great. Re: Building Newport 19 with Coral Homes in Saddlers Ridge 475May 26, 2015 8:44 am Cubshome what brick is that? Also was it a standard or an upgrade? Thanks Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13781 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4357 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74717 |
