Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 18, 2014 7:38 pm Hello everyone, Just signed our contract with 'Riviera Homes' last month. Unfortunately, we could not find any thread in homeone or review about this builder while doing our research so, we decided to start one. Hopefully, with this thread we can share our experiences and gain wisdom from others. We have been dealing with sales rep at Truganina display home for two months until we signed the contract. Everything went really smooth at this stage. He had great patience and was very prompt in his responses. He helped us in coming up with the custom floor plan. our valuation came a bit low so now admin team has organised our meeting with the director of the company next week. In general, we are satisfied so far with the quality of the work of their display home, the client home they are building in Vermont. The quote is low as compared to the big builders. There upgrades are of reasonable price. Good night for now. Will update of the meeting next week. Till then please share your experiences if you are building with Riviera/Provence Homes or any other builder Jeet Re: Building with Riviera Homes aka Provence homes 2Nov 21, 2014 11:44 am Hello Everyone, After the meeting with the director of the company in July, we got to know that since we want to move the house a bit forward, we will need a dispensation approval from the council. This whole process of obtaining the approval delayed our site start by 2.5 months. Finally we got the approval on 15th October after few hiccups from the estate (reserve). Since then we have been waiting to go onsite. We wanted to make some changes to our selection done in August and Riviera homes did not pose any objection to us and let us do the selection 3 times without any admin charges. Now, we are ready to go onsite. Have the building permit and estate approval. We were advised by Riviera homes that we will be onsite shortly but no confirm date has been given yet. We are hoping to go onsite this month. I will keep posting the updates. If anyone is building with Riviera, please share your experience of how long the builder took to go onsite. Thanks Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 24827 We are discussing plans with Meridian homes and it is shaping up nicely. Anyone has any experience to share? Have gone through forums but no recent feedback or experience found. 0 4773 HIA contract signed a couple of years ago with clear terms to increase contract price by X% if the build doesn't start by Y months.
