We are building in the Village, with Home Group WA, but my Mum is building 2 houses down from us with Blueprint - the Kuta. What stage are you up to in your build? Re: Providence Wellard..1st home.. 4Jun 16, 2014 12:29 pm Hi GettingBy, I just realised I said Emerald Park instead of Providence in my original reply - whoops! Getting confused by all the "wellards" now! Mum said she is getting her soak wells done by Blueprint, but she had to pay extra for them. I'm quite relieved to hear this - I wouldn't want to be roped in to soak well installation!! Re: Providence Wellard..1st home.. 12Jul 01, 2014 8:37 pm Have no idea on smart wiring sorry! We will get our building permit around 11th July (expected) so don't worry - nothing is happening on our block for a while either! My builder did put a sign down but it blew away haha. The slabs going down now are either display or block titles issued a month or so before ours so don't fret - it will happen Did you have your tree? Re: Providence Wellard..1st home.. 17Jul 13, 2014 12:34 am Hi Gettinby, We are also building with Blueprint but in a different estate east of Perth. Probably we are at the same stage as yours. Have got the building permit, now waiting for their internal arrangements or whatever that is . How has the experience with them been so far? We have found them a bit expensive in several ways but they have been clear about it. Hopefully everything goes well during the construction period. All the best Re: Providence Wellard..1st home.. 18Jul 13, 2014 12:50 am Hi again, Just realized from your timeline that you are still waiting for pre-start (?). If pre-start is not done yet, it is worthless waiting on them to start earthwork. Blueprint sends the files for building permit only after pre-start (sounds stupid but they do it that way somehow). Realistically they will take about 10 weeks after pre-start to go near the site. For smart wiring, the builder prefers a particular company to do it who we felt charge a lot for very few data points. Instead we asked the electrical consultant to add conduits wherever necessary and planning to do it afterwards. Apparently it costs half by going through independent cabler! Hope this info helps Re: Providence Wellard..1st home.. 19Jul 13, 2014 6:05 pm Ozlizz Hi Gettinby, We are also building with Blueprint but in a different estate east of Perth. We have found them a bit expensive in several ways but they have been clear about it. Hopefully everything goes well during the construction period. All the best HI Ozlizz, Its good to hear from you, as from what I understood they doing an assessment and sending for earthwork quotes, then they do pre-start..looks like it could be a standard letter, cause its similar to the one I received before land settlement...been a 1st time buyer Im clueless and all this building process is greek to me.. My experience with them had been good from the sales guy through to land settlement...now when you contact the consultant you wait 2wks to get a reply..you should at least get a weekly report as to whats unfolding (I think)..Yes they are very pricey...so Im not upgrading..which estate you building on..and I will follow your progress so I know where I should be.. Wow I hadn't realised things had gotten that pricey in just a couple of years since I built, that is crazy with how much land is now costing if you aren't lucky enough to… 3 7132 |
