Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 15, 2014 9:55 am Hi, I am going to build a house in Hurstville, the house is one storey brick veneer construction. The foundation is concrete with reinforced bars. The questions here is how thick the concrete should be. Thank you for your help. You need to get those soil tests across to an engineer to do up plans for your slab. They will tell you how thick your slab should be. I think Waffle pod slab needs to have the concrete 100mm thick above the pods, at least in the garage area. Probably better to discuss this topic in the Paving and Concreting sub forum, as this thread will get lost in the building a new house sub forum. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld.
