Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 13, 2014 7:28 am I selected the woodland grey colorbond roof for my house but ever since it has been installed, I feel like they have installed a wrong color as woodland grey should have been darker. My builder says this is definitely woodland grey. Please see the pictures below and tell me whether this can be woodland grey roof. (the window frame, gutter, fascia are supposed to be Dune color). Re: Is my roof color wrong? 4Jun 13, 2014 8:10 am Roof colors always look lighter due to the reflection of light. That said, I'd be surprised if that was woodland grey. It looks closer to Shale Grey or Windspray. Your gutter/fascia/windows are definitely Dune - it's the brown in the brick and wood trim that give them an ever so slight cream look. Re: Is my roof color wrong? 5Jun 13, 2014 8:14 am Its quite hard to tell but it might actually be woodland grey, the easiest way to tell would be to get a swatch and go up and physically compare it. Looking at photographs such as that and then at swatches can be confusing to your mind. Colorbond definitely reflects a lot lighter on over cast days. I think it is probably woodland grey. Its looks similar to this roof which is reflecting lighter on an over cast day. Here the roof, gutter and fascia are all woodland grey but you can see the difference in reflection. Lighting conditions make a huge difference to the perception of colour. If you're unsure get a sample of it and get on a ladder and hold it next to your roof.
