Thanks lovely
We were only charged $130 for our fan provisions downstairs so that price on your list must include light provision.
Still means they’ve charged $269 for a fan worth less than half that though.

That definitely helps It is what I thought it looked like. I upgraded all my sinks and tapware in the kitchen and butler's pantry but still unsure whether to upgrade the laundry sink and tap as well. Timpelle was going to charge $550 for the Ceasarstone cutout... I rather spend that $550 elsewhere tbh. The drop in tub does not look too shabby at all actually. Might just leave it. I think sometimes my OCD kicks in and I want everything uniform and consistent. Lol! *roll eyes We did standard laundry tub and tap as in the pics above and are happy with it. I’ve barely used either and certainly don’t have guests in there as it’s always the messiest room in the house by far lol. Glad I didn’t spend money on upgrades there, we needed every penny and then some. majestic35.weebly.com Building with Wisdom Homes 10103Mar 31, 2018 1:05 am stevezau Hi All, We are building the Majestic with live boldly and the prestige package. We are really struggling to understand how much we need to budget for the extras such as electrical, flooring and colours. I've been searching the forums for a few hrs now and it seems others are sending each other the pricing lists etc. Does anyone have some prices lists they can send over to me? Or can also share what extras they paid for? It's even hard to understand what comes standard with the kitchen, ie they say pot draws but how many? Or how many power points.. etc etc Bit frustrating. Our rep wasn't that helpful either. I'm hesitant to sign the contract without knowing at least roughly what we are in for as it may blow out our budget. Appreciate any help! We built majestic35 with prestige package. Our selections were almost 2 years ago now though so probably not worth the comparison. But as a guide.... We spent $16k on kitchen upgrades, mostly waterfall ends, laminate panels and cabinetry in the butlers pantry. I do not regret this one bit as I adore my kitchen and people comment on it all the time. We also extended our alfresco a few metres, changed sliders to stackers and added some additional windows for around $16k. (Again money well spent) We spent an extra $7k on tiles for larger tiles, and upgraded underlay (soooo worth the underlay) but stayed with standard carpet. We didn’t spend much at Colours and electrical (broke by then lol). But still involved $6k at electrical (I don’t think you could do it for much less than that) and about $2k at Colours for different showerheads and a second paint colour (we wanted trim and doors to be different to walls) We kept standard doors, stairs and aircon. Then think to budget for driveway, fencing, landscaping etc. we did this for about $30k (not including the tiling to the alfresco or the pizza oven) but we’re lucky to have a neighbour that gave us a good deal on the landscaping. We also spent about $5k on blinds and curtains. We thought we’d save and purchase new furniture as we went but ended up buying new fridge, lounges etc. it’s very hard to move into a beautiful new home and live with crappy old furniture. If you have lovely furniture now you’re all good but if not you might want to budget a bit for that as well. All up about $80k above base price but bear in mind prices have gone up since then. Good luck, I love the majestic. Can’t wait to see your progress. Ps. You get one double PowerPoint per room as standard. Original kitchen plans for majestic are on my blog majestic35@weebly.com majestic35.weebly.com Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10104Mar 31, 2018 5:37 am MandM+4 Jenifermarie Got our frames invoice yesterday so we popped down this morning to take a look and finally get a look at our view from upstairs. It also has a broken pane of glass and a damaged frame. Can’t decide whether I should point it out to the SS now and giveaway that we’ve been on site or wait for an official site visit which probably won’t be until we have our landscaping appointment once bricks are done. Either way I’m not accepting it, it would mean we would end up with a huge flyscreen across the middle of the window. Building Wisdom Aspiration 31 at Willowdale https://ourwillowdalehome.wordpress.com/ It looks great JM. I think it’s easy to overanalyse when it’s your own build- stuff everyone else won’t even notice. I hadn’t noticed our awning windows being thicker than the sliding, maybe because they are surfmist, or maybe it’s just not as obvious once bricked. Is the section with the awning windows the cladded section? Maybe that’s why? Your kitchen will be much brighter in the afternoon if it was shaded in the morning, I would think. I also think it changes so much once plastered and painted. I’ve been worried about light in ours too, but really it’s fine. If I had my time again I’d put a skylight in over our stairs though. I still have never admitted to being on site. I sent an email about our fans but they can be seen from the street. I hope your SS gets better with communication. Mine may not like us going on site but at least he calls every week. That’s a bummer about your feature window, hopefully you get a new one. Why the 4 panes if the middle ones aren’t meant to open, wouldn’t you prefer no bar in the middle? I just like the symmetry of the 4 panes, nothing more than that! I saw it in a Rawson display that was a bit too small so I just copied that on a larger scale Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Building Wisdom Aspiration 31 at Willowdale https://ourwillowdalehome.wordpress.com/ Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10106Mar 31, 2018 9:46 am Chompy Hi-what about provision for mounting the dryer in laundry? Where is this recorded? Good question!! I was thinking this as well... My Timpelle Quote only says "Front loader provision & support panels". I wonder if the support panels refer to the mounting of the dryer....or is that a totally different thing? Blocking in walls wasn’t on our construction plans, but we only got what was included and they include for 2 TVs already. If you’ve paid extra I’d ask for it to be specified in construction plans Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10108Mar 31, 2018 10:44 am MandM+4 ASJ1981 Chompy Hi-what about provision for mounting the dryer in laundry? Only has space for a sink, and washing machine provision because the linen is right next to the washing machine. Therefore the drier will have to go on top, mounted to wall. I have issue in the bathroom vanities (upstairs only). I am building Manhattan 35. As you can see in the photos below I have plumbing sticking down below the floating vanity in between the base of the vanity and the floor. I was expecting all plumbing to be concealed within the vanity. I am trying to workout why the plumber did it this way. Anyone who got some knowledge in this would be greatly appreciated. cheers Peter upstair ensuite plumbing below floating vanitiesLike ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ upstair bathroom visible plumbingLike ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10111Apr 01, 2018 8:40 am psur2357 Hi guys Need some help here. Ask them to fix it. Your site supervisor should’ve been on to it a long time ago! Whats happening with Wisdoms tradies??? Apparently not enough good ones around (or ones with common sense) Also each different trade then comes in and works around the problem rather then getting the initial error fixed. They will now all have to come back. Tell your SS that they will have to fix it. Totally unexpectable. Where has your SS been? I know that they are overworked but as MandM+4 said that should have been picked up by the SS much earlier. Oz Building with Wisdom Homes 10115Apr 01, 2018 11:26 am Laminate flooring was laid on Easter Saturday. Really happy with it, and no scotia anywhere so it was worth the extra costs to avoid it. Brickwork out the front is also looking better, just the mortar could do with some touching up, and the splashback looks a better colour in different light too. Overall I’m stoked with all the colour choices and getting really excited for PCI now. Looks like we just need carpet, waterfall ends, showerscreens and handles on our cavity sliders.
