Did anyone take a photo of the Urban One Chiffon bricks when they were there, that they could upload? They look dark grey on their website (which I like) but I have googled houses built in this colour & the brick looks totally different & a much lighter grey... Cheers! I can stop by the Punchbowl yard to get some photos tomorrow morning. It's only 1km away from me and gives me an excuse to look at our potential bricks (yet again!). Their brickyard is accessible all the time. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4946Apr 01, 2017 6:49 pm Jenifermarie Chinoandbebe Is Austral bricks open on Sundays? We're building in Leppington, but we live in Riverwood at the moment. I'm out first thing tomorrow morning for a run anyway. It's no issue at all to swing by the brick yard once I'm done. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4948Apr 01, 2017 9:18 pm Chinoandbebe- we have chosen the chiffon brick, i have a few pics on my computer i will see if i can upload...the sample i have looks darker than the pic of the wall i have, the first pic with the tiles is more accurate. Jenifermarie- we could only get $30 per day liquidated damages and my husband had to call the sales manager to get it. I find that figure absolutely ridiculous, not much of a penalty at all! We did however get the date changed on contract that we have to have loan and council approvals by to Sept 30th. So hopefully enough time. The bricks looked more uniform in real life, like M+M photo. My iPhone looks like it has loaded on some extra contrast it was very cloudy too when I took them so I reckon they look quite dark here Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Building with Wisdom Homes 4950Apr 02, 2017 10:35 am Congrats on everyone's progress this week, especially those with slabs going down! Exciting times! We went to our site yesterday to have a look around and note down things we want to talk about when we meet with our SS tomorrow. So, it turns out they have rendered the back of our house in the wrong colour . They've done it in the dark grey that's on our facade but it's supposed to be the light colour. What does everyone think? I really don't know whether I'm prepared for more delays to occur by bringing the scaffolders and renderers back. And considering they used texture coat render and not paint, I'm not even sure it's possible to change the colour. First pic is the back, second is of the lighter colour it's supposed to be, and third is my kiddies waiting patiently for us in our future leisure room just because I think it's a cute pic! Plus they look so tiny in that space!! If the colour tones work I'd keep it. I like lighter colours at the front as features and darker colours that blend at the back. (I wish I had thought to do it on my back cement fibre boards lol) Love the pic of the kids. I will need to do this with mine, byo chairs is genius! majestic35.weebly.com Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4952Apr 02, 2017 11:27 am msjovi Congrats on everyone's progress this week, especially those with slabs going down! It contrasts nicely with the window frames. I'm assuming it coordinates with the brickwork if you were already using at the front. We're considering a similar colour, I think those darker greys look more modern. Plus we're hoping it will hide any dirt as the back cladding will be a pain to access because of the sloping roof in front. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4953Apr 02, 2017 4:44 pm Well we're all signed. The SC had another 2 contract signings after us...they certainly churn people through when they want to. Ours is surfmist at the back and just looks too white for me, so having a colour that blends with the brickwork I think is a good choice! If it was a colour you hated then I'd say get it changed, but maybe add it to your defect list and they can change it later after handover HAHA That pool outside the wall of windows will look amazing!!!! And they kids have clearly already staked their space in front of the tv. Haha Thanks for the pics - hoping you see more progress ASAP! Building Majestic 40 - wisdom homes Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4955Apr 03, 2017 8:52 am Hi All, I have just accepted a tender from Wisdom and have a question I am hoping someone can help with. Has anyone requested a price to have bricks upstairs for front, back and side? I don't see a price on the listing they gave me for common upgrades. I am assuming I will be using standard bricks and have the Savannah with Roof for facade. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4956Apr 03, 2017 10:01 am Bob the Bludger Hi All, I have just accepted a tender from Wisdom and have a question I am hoping someone can help with. Thanks I checked the common variations list I got last year and found the following: Provide brick veneer construction over garage in lieu of Stria Board cladding $3600 Provide brickwork to rear of first floor in lieu of FC sheet (subject to design) $3000 Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4957Apr 03, 2017 10:18 am Jenifermarie Bob the Bludger Hi All, I have just accepted a tender from Wisdom and have a question I am hoping someone can help with. Bob I think it does Bob. "provide brick veneer.... over garage..." covers the front and side (halfway down the side) over the garage. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4959Apr 03, 2017 4:58 pm Someone put me out of my misery now. Wisdom have extra bricks on their inclusions list now in comparison to the list I originally got. I was having enough trouble picking already!!! Magic what a contract signing and payment will do. Less than 24 hours later and all our appointments are booked. Couldn't get a colours appointment until May they're so busy. I'm a little bit excited that with the way everything has fallen plus the public holidays, I won't work another 5 days week after this week until mid May Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4960Apr 03, 2017 5:09 pm Oh what bricks have they included now?
