I went to look at the progress as I was informed driveway would be poured last week. The driveway has been poured, but I see a manhole cover on it at the side. There is no such thing in the plan. Does any one know what it is for and why it is there? Last I checked I don't think there was any easement on my land. Also the manhole cover looks brown and rusted. Kindly advise Editing to add: checked my plans and saw a small circle showing sewer, which I had missed as we are building for first time. Thanks MandM+4 for insight . In fact the house plan was flipped as land shows driveway on this side as per developers plans. I do not know what to do at this stage. We were told it is due to drop edge beams. Our slab and brick lining did not match either. Becoz its not in the plan W should have filled it and made the alfresco good for tiling but all they did was trim the brick to level the slab. We have a tiler working on it right now. One of the other option was to remove the brick lining altogether. I now believe that would hv been a better option. The trimming of the brick was such a shady job that we need to now tile over the brick anyways. Interestingly if you are getting the alfresco done by W they would do a awesome job in leveling the brick and slab by default! ps : see my profile pic from those anger days lol Thanks aaron2008. I've raised it with CSR as we would have included the tiling if we knew what the finish would be so waiting to see what they have to say. Our bricks are slightly lower than the slab so probably easier to deal with than yours were. But if you know you will need steps, its good to get them poured with slab. It’s still wide enough for me to park 2 cars side by side so no issue for us there. You can see the black circle on right side of my driveway. Kazi Your curtains look so seamless and elegant. Did Insight organise everything? I’ve only ever had blinds and shutters so don’t know if they install parts to hang the curtains. Hi One, Yes Insight Blinds and Shutters did everything i.e. check, measure, supply, installation. Paul from Insight visited my house few times with all his collection samples (curtains, blinds, plantation shutter) and I went through samples against wall to match and select. I am a big fan of curtains so I also love the clam elegance sheer and light filtering curtains bring in home. They have no issues with land valuation though. Our land settlement is in 2nd week of Jan. Our bank is now asking us to take variable loan to accomodate any changes in build loan. Did anyone face such an issue? What is the best way around this. Also our bank is denying on the progressive payment percentages given by wisdom as they can only release for the work completed and suggesting wisdom change the schedule. Any similar experience and the solution you got would be helpful. Thanks Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 13814Dec 27, 2018 6:02 pm Hi All, Does anyone have the email address for the 90 day maintenance report? Thanks Hi champs2018, you will need to speak to your CSR who will most likely refer you to Customer Service Manager if you needed your progress payments percentage altered. Head Office re-opens on the 7th January. Does the bank need to get an answer before your land settlement? ASJ1981 Yes, our bank needed it before land settlement as we are trying to get both land and build loan approved at once. Sent email to CSR on the week they shut down and received an Out Of Office and she won't be back until the 14th Jan She didn't action my requests before she left. I'm going to ring them on the 7th to chase it up. I really need my End Panel as that is what the bank is requesting... Hope everyone is enjoying their new homes for those who are celebrating their 1st Christmas in their beautiful new homes! Wisdom Homes HO re-opens on the 7th Jan, so it is after your land settlement. Hopefully your solicitor or broker can work it out for you in regards to the progress payments and maybe get an extension on land settlement if they allow it. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 13820Dec 28, 2018 10:47 am Hi Everyone! A late Merry Christmas to my fellow posties. I’ve been watching everyone post but haven’t written anything for awhile now. Just chilling while we were preparing for our appointments which I’m sure you would agree can be overwhelming with what tiles, what colors, what kitchen layout, what front door to choose.. 🤯 AND making sure they match! Out of interest, did you guys keep your kitchen same cabinets colours/ type with the bathroom vanities? Some display homes are designed that way. Also, is it a concern that the kitchen cabinets are not the industry standard of 300, 450, 600, 900mm? If you ever decide to configure / accessorise the inside of the drawers and cabinets it wouldn’t fit if you customised it with wisdoms. Thanks! Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE.
