We accepted and signed off on our kitchen quote on March 16. Unfortunately, i realised i really really want to change my handles (go figure!). We have chosen the matte black handles but i saw these edge pull handles a few weeks ago and "forgot" to ask about it at the kitchen appointment. Wasn't on my radar at the time! Can we change it or ask them to re-quote for the handles? Are they going to charge admin fee? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10024Mar 27, 2018 1:49 pm I don’t think they will. I have had several changes since signing off and no issues at all Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10025Mar 27, 2018 1:59 pm Manhattan52 I don’t think they will. I have had several changes since signing off and no issues at all Thank you manhattan52 ! I emailed them today anyway and we'll see what they say. I don't remember seeing the handles in the showroom which is why it probably went over my head. Otherwise i would have chosen them. I don't mind the ones we have already chosen, but thought i'd ask anyway as it will help me sleep better at night Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10026Mar 27, 2018 2:00 pm ASJ1981 Manhattan52 I don’t think they will. They may have new ones now, my appointment was over a year ago. I think the edge pull handles can be bought but i wonder if removing the handles ruin the doors/cupboards? Or maybe ask them not to include the handles and i will source the edge pull ones myself. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10029Mar 27, 2018 3:19 pm Priyasuresh11 Hi, Yes we had shelves in our pantry. But I am altering my Pantry with a benchtop with sink and doing that after handover. So they refunded for the shelving. Hi Priya, do you mind if I ask how much the credit/refund was for the shelving? We turned our WIP to a Butler's Pantry and had Timpelle Kitchens do the whole fitout. Timpelle said WH will give a credit for the shelving. I don't imagine it to be a huge credit but am curious as to what it would be.. thanks! I don’t even remember seeing black handles there lol Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10031Mar 27, 2018 3:24 pm ASJ1981 Priyasuresh11 Hi, Yes we had shelves in our pantry. It's not much. But it's something. Speaking of credits, did you feel you need to be on top of it and make sure WH was giving credit where it's due or are they pretty good with picking up on those things? The only other credit I'm expecting is carpet credit to the Home Office. I can't think of anything else at this stage. But hope WH is thorough at picking up on that sort of stuff. I had to explain that the house comes with shelves on all 3 sides and so if we're removing then they need to credit. Most times it should be ok but best to stay on top of it. We got credit for flooring, mirrors in bathrooms and shelves. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10035Mar 27, 2018 3:49 pm Oh yeah! Bathroom and kitchen fittings were credited too and they actually gave a decent amount back so I was pleased with that! I'll make sure they credit where it needs to be. Our Colour Consultant has been really helpful with all our queries and changes. Wish she was in charge of all that stuff when it comes down to it because she's always on the ball. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10036Mar 27, 2018 7:37 pm alce4463 Hey Priyasuresh11 We're also building a majestic 35 and in production estimating. Just wondering on your plans do you have shelves on 2 or 3 walls of your pantry? Alce4463, glad to hear another majestic 35 being built! we have shelving on 2 of the pantry walls - but that is because we chose the layout exactly as per Oran Park display. I thought they had jobs unless specified regardless of the shower screens. Just curious as all my showers are fully frameless but only 2 ( powder and master) are specified as hobless Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10040Mar 27, 2018 8:38 pm Manhattan52 @Chinoandbebe Thanks for that! Much appreciated A shame I didn't pick it up before they tiled the bathrooms. You can see it in my photo where the shower has been waterproofed, & the hob is blue...just keep an eye out for it in your showers.
