Did you get the timber deck from W. If not how much did it cost you. Please share. Hey aaron2008 The floor is spotted gum laminate and has come up really well, and is part of the Prestige package with Wisdom. Feels durable yet somewhat soft on the feet. Just need to be careful with the water spills..... I will post a pic of entrance/foyer later, but the floorboards run length wise at entrance, so same as in the kitchen pic.
Hi Yes we have the closet that you see in the pic for coats and shoes. We asked for this in our kitchen appointment. Also on the other side of the stairs is a guest bedroom which has a closet accessed under the stairs as well.. I will post the setup when i get the chance. If you are building the manhattan then there definitely will be space under the stairs for you to use. We are going for the same stairs though we also getting a quote for open rise but I feel we still go for closed ones. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 7706Oct 07, 2017 8:45 am Good morning, We have just found out that Campbelltown Council apparently ‘include the 2nd car space (ie double garage) and the ‘Stairwell void’ as contributing to Floor Space ratio. Has that been the experience of others building locally? It presents a real problem for us as this completely skews our floor space ratio. Appreciate any thoughts on this dilemma! We're building in Camden council but yes that was our experience. It also includes alfresco area as well I believe. Is it causing a problem with whether u can put your house on the block or to do with going through CDC or council? majestic35.weebly.com Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 7708Oct 07, 2017 2:04 pm Rocchet GLO Good morning, We have just found out that Campbelltown Council apparently ‘include the 2nd car space (ie double garage) and the ‘Stairwell void’ as contributing to Floor Space ratio. We're building in Camden council but yes that was our experience. It also includes alfresco area as well I believe. Is it causing a problem with whether u can put your house on the block or to do with going through CDC or council? The problem with the ratio; is fitting it on the block as they add the 2nd car spot and stair void to the living space which tips us over. If you exclude these areas we fit (as we expected these to be excluded rather than included in the floorspace.) not CDC. I'm told that a 5% variable may be considered. But I am wanting to approach Council for a 1st floor rear enclosed balcony, but that requires an 8m set back off the rear fence and I think mine would be 6m. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 7709Oct 07, 2017 4:05 pm ozmonkeyoy ChizCake gfernz
Question for those who have had handover, who organises the appliance installs, and we also need sentinel back for the duc vac motor and secirity camera setup? Is it the SS or your CSR or other? Thanks Oz Hey Oz - How did handover go?? You must be busy planning the move into your new home I guess?? Yes, hope all went well with the handover and that you're happy with the finished product! Very interested to see pics given the similarities of our designs. Ours still seems imaginary at the moment (still with council) so the inspiration will be motivating! Hi gfernz & ChizCake, Yes handover all happened on Wednesday without much fuss. Couple of windows we saw were scratched, but they have all ready been replaced (credit W). Appliances were installed yesterday (gas meters, dishwasher & oven), and we also moved in (a 12 hours process) even though the travel distance between our old place and new one is approx 5km. We also had our electrician in to do some post handover work. Very happy with the quality, will post some pics once the place is cleaned up as at the moment there are boxes, etc everywhere. Outside we also have started on our retaining wall (footings done, brickies laying blocks today), had the plumbers run the pipework for the pool sewer gully, driveway has been cut out (formed and poured next week hopefully). Telstra coming today for NBN, other 3rd party appliances arriving, curtains & roller blinds installed this afternoon (plantations still 2 weeks off) - its a crazy time. Also, our old house is practically cleared, we have painters in there, floorboards sanded next week, carpet stretching/cleaning thereafter, and general clean after. Our old place hopefully will be on the market by mid October. As long as there has been progress, you are a step ahead.... Sorry for lack of pics, etc its been a whirlwind past few days. We have moved in and there is still lots of boxes, etc to unpack (including those dreaded flatpacks.....) Hopefully be next weekend we will have most items packed away, then I will go around and take / post some pics. As soon as we signed off on handover, I had external trades starting, then we had removalists dropping our furniture off the following day, so we really didn't get a chance for any pics before the house was taken over with furnishings and boxes. Since then a plethora of trades have been walking through the house. We have cleaned up the kitchen island and dining area, had the curtains installed and remaining downlights, Attached a quick pic; Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ That looks awesome !! a straight island bench is what we are also getting. Long wait for us at the moment, as we are visiting Timpelle again tomorrow for our second appointment. Thanks. Our island bench is 2700 x 1400, and we think its a great size for the space. Its actually based on the Metricon display house at Willowdale, even down to the Bianca Drift stone. Knebel did our kitchen, they wanted to know the actual appliances we intended to use so that the measurements of the spaces were exact. We added in a wine fridge and Smeg 60cm wall oven (replaced the Wisdom included microwave with this), and they accounted for ventilation spaces, etc for each appliance. The spacing has worked out really well. That's great, your island does look awesome. I checked the plan of ours, and it is 2980x1200, with waterfall edges and cupboards on both sides. We have moved dishwasher and double sink from here and have just left a filter tap with a single sink for routine water purposes. Your kitchen mixer looks nice. ours is similar, but upgraded to the pullout one. Finally our contract plans have arrived after lot of chase ups. Hopefully there are no more errors or changes. Fingers Crossed. All geared up for signing the contract and more so for the appointments that shall follow. Feel happy to change the status signature Thanks. Hopefully no changes required to the plans, although you will be one of the lucky ones if that is indeed the case. I believe ours sent changed/adjusted, etc approx 6-7 times.... Exciting times ahead though as you enter selections - hopefully the budget allows for some great selections, if not then Wisdom still offer some really good choices. Thanks OZ. Actually we already did changes thrice to the tender and plans. These are meant to be the plans for the contract signing. We just went through it and there is small error with the windows (were not expecting that to be the case after they took so long to get back with minor changes ). But having read through everyones journeys we know we are on our way towards a good end product. It has gone for correction and hopefully we sign our contract in a weeks time That's great you are getting close to contract. Generally they are quick with corrections. All the best!
