If I have a provision of getting all flyscreen done by W, I will go for it with that quote. I am sure quality would be better and typically we would use them a lot! Also had a very bad experience of break in through a glass sliding door so big believer of those security screen even though they kill the view! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 7282Sep 08, 2017 2:31 pm MandM+4 ozmonkeyoy Official PCI letter arrived this morning from HO - 7th September. (Yes checked that it said 2017) Woohoo!!! How did PCI go? Its been pushed back until Monday, and consequently handover will also be pushed back. My inspector went through it on Wednesday and picked up a number of issues and there are a few more issues which we have seen that we want to address - thankfully most appear to be only minor issues. There were some water leaks from upstairs due to doors/windows not properly sealed (only found this out during the cleaning process), but to his credit the SS has since had areas re-tested today after they were sealed yesterday. I can't envisage anyone not using a private inspector - they didn't pick up everything, but they picked up on a number of things that we definitely would not have. Having both sets of eyes on the prize is an absolute must in my book. Question for those who have completed construction in regards to their carpet. In our master bedroom, the carpet layers have obviously run out of carpet and the carpet join runs the full length of our room down the middle of it. They have done a reasonable job hiding the join, but I've seen it and I think its a bit weak - the join would be better placed in a smaller area. What do others think? (I will be bringing it up on Monday with SS) Still happy with overall build though, just some of the tradies decisions in the way they have done things raises questions. Looking forward to seeing more pics when you have a chance Our plumbing and piering went in Wednesday, so hoping for slab next week. If there's still some daylight once I've collected the kids from after school care I will do a drive by this evening. Yeah, that's exactly what we are thinking. The bed will cover a lot of it, but hey we know its still there, and over time it will no doubt lift. I was expecting a month in production estimating. In saying that nothing happened on site last week. We had Flooring, AC and Kitchen in round 2, where we went ok with Flooring and AC, but with kitchen it looked like it was quite rushed (even though we had abt 2.5 hours there). I figured we could have been better prepared for our selections. We went to flooring appointment planning to go for wood like tiles but the labor cost of $74-$90 sqmt put us off and we had to change to other tiles. AC upgrade to next one up was a no-brainer. For kitchen, it was a shame how almost everything was an upgrade. Our other experience was that almost all costs are provided only after it has been properly costed and may take abt 10 days. I feel that even though some of the stuff on standard plans (like shark edges for cabinetry) must be so common that they should have prices readily available, but even for that we need to wait for 10 days. Since DL does not provide any samples for flooring, we will have to go there on the weekend again to check out again how the bathroom tiles we selected look like. Looking at that, you will definitely have a slab by the end of next week. Hopefully they can wrap my house up my house before the framework for yours is needed, thus freeing up more tradies in the area for your build. I've decided to do flooring after handover instead and going with 1200 x 600mm tiles which i think will look pretty sweet. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 7294Sep 09, 2017 9:25 am Great.. If you go for tiles post handover, do you still get $35 credit from wisdom? Tiles through Dilorenzo are proving to be very expensive. For e.g. only on one floor, I am looking at abt 22K just for the tiles! I will be keen to hear what options are you considering - if you dont mind?
