Impressed with the carpet finish, and the thicker underlay just tops it off. If budget allows, definitely upgrade the carpet, really provides a lush feel to the house. Can't comment on the triexta quality for stain removal as yet, but its supposed to be great. ozmonkeyoy Oh wow! I love that Evening Mist! How much was that? That was more the colour we were after, but didnt see one darker than the Onyx. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 9803Mar 15, 2018 3:35 pm HI Manhattan52 What are the size of your tiles? The wall tiles appear to be 250 X 500 ? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 9804Mar 15, 2018 3:37 pm Manhattan52 Nice Choices, how is the carpet for vacuuming? we have 3 huskies!!! We have the ducted vac system installed through sentinel, and vacuuming so far so good. A bit of extra muscle is needed (not much really), but that's what you get with the thicker carpet. We have a duck toller retriever with two coats that is always shedding (He has only been allowed downstairs) and its been no problem on this type of carpet so far, very little in the way of fur in the carpet, but we do keep a close eye on it. I've attached a pic of the upstairs hallway with this carpet, just after handover. I can't see where they have listed our actual selections? Would have liked this confirmed before i sign 🤔 I can see the carpet and timber quote has it itemized (price per sqm etc) but the wet area tiles have no description at all except the $ amount next to each room. I guess what I'm expecting is a breakdown at least? Seems so vague or am i missing something? They can provide a more detailed quote if requested, its just not given if not requested. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 9809Mar 15, 2018 4:29 pm The selections will be on your paperwork given on the day from your tile consultant, that should also specify your layout for each room Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 9810Mar 15, 2018 5:58 pm ozmonkeyoy Manhattan52 Nice Choices, how is the carpet for vacuuming? we have 3 huskies!!! I just got off the phone to SS who said that next week W’s quality check team come through and fill baths up several times etc- as if someone’s living in the house, silicone her and there etc, so it looks like nothings being done for a couple of days when it actually is. Anyway just thought I’d mention it as I saw on your blog you had a week of nothing. We’re ticking along. Painting finishing this week, quality check next week and handles and pantry shelves etc. Sadly still no PCI. First PCI was cancelled cause we were no where near finished, second was supposed to be today but didnt happen either, was told might be Monday which I'm not holding my breath. I'm kind of over this build cause it has gone to sht, delays after delays. Now apparently we have an issue with our freestanding spa and where the motor is (under the tap) which is non-compliant. This really should have been picked up and resolved earlier. We were also told by WL that the retaining wall which they built is also non compliant and needs to move further in. They have submitted a form to council to see if it gets approved, but not sure at this stage. I just can't be bothered going to the site anymore. Yes, you may catch up to me still. haha Wisdom Homes Manhattan 39 Blog - https://edmondson-park.blogspot.com.au H1 Thread - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88210 Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 9813Mar 15, 2018 7:05 pm Jordann MandM+4 How’s your build going? I hope I don't have a horror build but I'm already 3 weeks delayed waiting for frames and not sure when the chippy is available Think this is week 33. Sad part is we were 5 weeks ahead of schedule at one point. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 9816Mar 15, 2018 7:37 pm doosra What was your contracted build time? Did they miss it? How much longer do u think u are til completion? The building works must reach the stage of practical completion no more than: 30 weeks after the building period commences. I have heard that they are looking to up this to about 36 weeks in new builds. We'll have to see tomorrow when SS call to see if PCI will happen on Monday or some time next week, at this stage I'm not sure when that will happen. Thanks! TBH I thought I’d be super excited at this point but I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the jobs to be done once we get the keys, purchases to be made, refinancing to pay for it all, moving out and cleaning our current house! I’m sure it will be the best feeling once it’s all done though!
