Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 15322Nov 22, 2019 7:19 pm Rocchet So it’s been a few year since I’ve been on this thread... shared a lot of advice and received even more, hopefully it’s still going strong. I remember trawling this page before signing with wisdom and people’s positive feedback in terms of wisdom fixing post build issues was one of the key factors with us choosing them. Unfortunately we have not had the same experience and I’m not sure if we’ve been unlucky or there’s been a downturn in wisdoms service and ethical response. 2 years after we moved in one of our showers that was leaking from the very beginning has yet to be rectified (see attached pics) we haven’t been able to use this shower for nearly 18months and I am no longer getting any responses from the company via email. What would people suggest? I have probably been too patient and understanding with them but I’ve really had enough now. Regards Mark Live Your Way Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 15323Nov 23, 2019 6:26 am Stukip Norfolk @Rocchet I suggest that if Mark (Wisdom's GM) at WisdomHomes has not already reached out to you about your longstanding shower issue then you should contact him tomorrow 22.11.2019 publicly here (or via PM if you are not comfortable with this approach) to ask him directly what he intends to do to address it. One day is reasonable to wait so you should expect a response before 5.00pm. Please let forum members know how you go with this, what response you get? This is an excellent opportunity for Wisdom to demonstrate their customer care process and business ethics to their potential new customers viewing this thread with some action. Offer Wisdom Homes a reasonable opportunity to acknowledge and fix the issue before escalating it to the company’s owners. From my recent experience and observations, leveraging social media can be effective in getting things done in such circumstances like this. Following your earlier comments, positive customer experiences on this thread are important to Wisdom Homes for their marketing, their future sales pipeline and asset value. I'm all for open and honest discussion to help others in their build process. But my god, what are you even doing on this thread! You didn't build with Wisdom, have made continuous negative comments dressed up as open feedback and keep dragging up an issue that was resolved well over 12 moth ago. It seems obvious to me you have a hidden agenda against Wisdom but no apparent experience building with them. In fact I wouldn't be at all surprised if you have multiple accounts on Homeone just to give yourself some 'likes'. You are the reason why the 'vibe' on this thread has diminished. I could be alone in this thought and many frequent posters are possibly too polite to say - enough is enough. Go somewhere else. Now lets see the chatter that comes - nothing like throwing a hand grenade just in time for the weekend. I have been off the forum for a while but thought I would check in to see how some of the builds were going, thank god someone has finally called them out. Norfolk has completely overtaken the thread with their whinging and cow manure. It’s a real shame to see what this has turned into from one person so quickly Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 15324Nov 23, 2019 10:43 am Hi all, it’s been suggested that my engagement in the Wisdom Homes thread is unwelcome. I have been asked to refrain from further engagement and will respect this request. My best wishes for your builds, and satisfaction from this forum thread. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 15332Nov 24, 2019 7:25 am Stukip Yeah we have to go DA approval due to rear balcony and also the water tank... checking status of our approval each morning has become an obsession. I find it's not the admin though that is slowing us down its the estimate team! I asked to add bath niches nearly 4 weeks ago and I have nothing back yet 😑. Di Lorenzo was fine, its actually the estimate team to add 2 450mm by 900mm niches that is taking 4 weeks, ridiculous. So grateful for our fantastic canvas quarter lady though or i would have lost my mind already. I just hope it runs a little quicker going forward! WH is also doing my landscaping. End of January expected but not confirmed. Manhattan54, you should be getting close to PCI now? My other half was checking every hour 😂 We also went DA bcos of our rear balcony (not by choice). Our CQ appointment was the last working week before Xmas. Imagine the wait over the end of year shut down. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 15335Nov 24, 2019 2:23 pm My build looks like it is close to complete, but my supervisor won't give me any estimates other than quoting when I am contracted to (which is well after when it should be finished). The final coat of paint and last bit of carpentry work will be completed this week. Only major work left after that is the main floor tiling and carpeting. The week after Wisdom will install the pool (8.5m x 3m fiberglass). Even if they can't finish by Christmas, it's not too much to expect them to finish soon after right? Hi Funk52, few of us are in similar situation. WH don’t want to commit to an estimated handover time. My SS only told me recently it might be end of January/ first week February. There is a 3 weeks close down which will slow every down in the new year I guess.
