We are about 45 days over contract, that includes 15 days Xmas shutdown, 5 days public holidays & the rest just delays. Not happy about it but what can you do. Just glad it is nearly over & we will soon be able to enjoy our new home! It has been a long journey but hopefully worth it! How long was the build time in your contract? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10887May 26, 2018 8:11 pm doosra Hi everyone, this is likely not going to apply to majority of the people, but if anyone has recommendations, that would be great. 5 months into my build, i've been advised by WH that I do not have any water connection to the main on my land which means I need to organise a water connection with a plumber. I've been provided a quote and it's ridiculous expensive and I just wanted to check whether anyone has requested a "main to meter" service and roughly how much it cost them? Terrible news Doorsa. No experience to share I’m afraid. How did this happen? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10894May 27, 2018 10:13 pm Hi Everyone, congratulations on all the beautiful homes on this forum. We are in the very baby stages of building (awaiting tender presentation) and this is such a daunting process! Sorry if I ask some very stupid or basic questions. I was just wondering where you got inspiration for facade colour selections? We are going with a modern look and the diplomat facade. Changing the cladding to Sycon matrix but are stuck with colour choices. Want to go majority white but not all white. Any pointers? TIA Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10895May 27, 2018 11:03 pm Chinoandbebe ChizCake Chinoandbebe Yes it has been a long build for a single storey, even our new neighbours were commenting on that. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10896May 27, 2018 11:24 pm One Is there any colour consultant or interior decorator to help choose colours at Wisdom? Has anyone sought the services of a colour consultant externally for their build? You'll meet with a colour consultant when you have your appointment at canvas quarter. I believe my colour consultant is actually an interior designer. Since everything is in one place, it'll probably be easier to coordinate all your selections. (i.e no need to drive to Di Lorenzo in Castle Hill multiple times!!) I remember reading somewhere in this forum, that someone had engaged with the stylist that decorated all of Wisdom's display homes. Her name is Anita Nadar, here is her instagram account in you're interested. https://www.instagram.com/missan2012/?hl=en Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10897May 28, 2018 6:21 am Priyasuresh11 Priyasuresh11 Hi, Is it okay to have a hairline crack in the slab. I’m sure you will get people who have experience with that there. We already had an idea of what we wanted and Anita helped us bring it all together and ensured everything worked.
