I don’t know if this helps but we have a variation to increase the height of the robe doors. There doesn’t seem to be a charge involved on the PCV. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12105Aug 26, 2018 11:22 pm Just wondering if anyone is building in Georges River Council and how long DA has taken for you??? I’m anxious to know if we will have a slab before Xmas. I asked my CSR about close dates and whether we might have our slab in 2018 and she said Close is around the 22nd Dec. So I’m confused about the November deadline mentioned here now. Manhattan52 becks81 Bobby1 That is what the cut off date was for us last year, 15th November. We missed it by a week or so and therefore site scrap out wasn’t until 16th Jan and slab towards the end of Jan. If we are waiting on hydraulics (4 weeks now), and DA will take 6-12 wks, I don’t think we will make it either we lost 2 weeks due to our CSR not being notified that we signed our landscape plan at the consult. Should we arrange demolition anyway, planning for around the time we submit to DA? Knowing that the site might just sit there for 2 months? I wouldn’t if I were you. I’m a perfect example of anything can happen. Do you own the house you are demoshing outright? If not bank won’t let you demolish without their permission. Thank you. Good point. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12106Aug 26, 2018 11:48 pm WisdomHomes NavyLion Avoid the car! Hi all, Last month I contacted the Customer Survey team, we asked about one single request and why our build progress is very very delay. Then the CSR team comes back to us (oh God), they told us two things: 1. CSR said, every house is different, that’s why some house is ahead and according to the week progress, and some are delay. 2. CSR said will forecast and promised to give us a date or month of completion So, I tried to pretend that point 1 is right, that every house is different, except that our progress build is 6 weeks delay. Point 2, no follow up from the CSR, as usual, nothing. For those new starters and still deciding, please allow me to share our customer experiences: 1. My wife and I started the process with Wisdom Homes from May 2017 to January 2018. Why 8 months? We believed, during the admin process, we’ve been profiling us as ‘inactive customer’. Our estimates, around 80% who posted here experienced the same way. 2. After very long 8 months with CSR admin, we got slapped of $7000 because of contract expired. Coincident? I know 4 families who were contract expired too. 3. Then build, at 29th week, we supposed to have kitchen cabinets, vanities and floor tilings at this stage. Our assumption is our job number is set (again) to the lowest priority. You know when you are researching, deciding and buying a car between 3 brands or models, and at the end of it you have 3 options to decide: Should you avoid the car? Because you feel it is stressful after some time. Will you consider the car? Maybe there are benefits, the price is high but good quality, they will listen to your problem. Go ahead, buy the car? It is credible, they will respect you and treat you well, and ideal to your family. Ta, Hi NavyLion, I have sent you a PM with my contact details if you would like to seek help for your concerns. There is no such thing as an 'ínactive' customer post-Contract Signing unless land remains unregistered. I am happy to meet face to face with you if that is best. Regards, Mark Hi Wisdom, Yes, I asked for help and I’ve contacted WH last month regarding our situation. The CSR, as usual, gave a word, but 2 weeks since then we are still waiting. 2. 19th May 2017, I did advise the customer service about the registration of our land was completed and I forwarded to her the registration document and our DP number, so CSR can process the site reports. I have all proof to all email transactions. 3. 2nd June 2017, I followed up to the customer service regarding the site reports, the CSR said she did NOT receive yet the DP number. At this moment we lost two weeks period. The two items above indicated that our file or job number was set to ‘inactive’. If we are active client shouldn’t be the CSR called or emailed us after 2 to 3 days to follow up about the DP number? What if I did not make my own follow up? I had 5 more CRS issues and informed WH last August 2017. However, those issues accumulated, then administration process took 8 months and at the end of it, we’ve been penalized with $7000 contract expired. Why it becomes our fault? And now, the same pattern and behavior are showing that our job number is set to ‘inactive’ or very low priority. Our progress is 4 to 6 weeks behind. Should I wait to become 17 or 22 weeks? Should I file for liquidated damages and discuss to NSW Fair Trading? We are going to request and schedule a meeting with you together with my wife. I asked my CSR before, how many clients she was handling at that time, she said, she got about 50 plus 'active' customers, and I asked, you do have as well 'inactive' customers, she said yes. I did not asked the number of inactive clients. 8 months process, if you calculate all the processing time, that should be only 4 months if you are a priority client. My admin got 3 to 4 errors during the process. One sample, we requested the laundry configuration in June 2017 (I have documents to proof), but they only realized the request in December, that is 6 months gap. Why? I don't know. I’m not having a go at you just trying to understand what you mean No problem, I just want to share here our experience and how the CSR\admin handle our job number. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Navy Looking at your timelines and my timelines, I am also 4 weeks behind JeniferMarie's timelines, but overall, I believe its probably abt an average pace. I have had slab laid March end, and gyprock completed yesterday, expecting stairs and waterproofing next week. Sometimes, I also feel that it is slow, but I would think that yes, some houses are definitely fast, while mine is avge pace. Regarding Admin process, we had our first quote in May last year, and out of admin in mid March this year - so abt 10 months in admin. In my personal view, I did not think it too slow as there was always something on and can't see how could be much faster than that., and we did not find mistakes.... Hi Singalg, Thanks for your thoughts and concerns. As per JeniferMaries's timeline, you are 4 weeks behind (your slab was the end of March), well I am 6 weeks behind because our slab did the 3rd week of February). As mentioned in my previous post, my neighbor's slab done also the end of March 2018, but he is now leading 3 weeks compare to our progress. My neighbor and JeniferMaries progress had features and items ticked which I can only achieve in another 6 weeks of time. I am really frustrated and alarming, I know two families who are extended to 17 and 22 weeks of build plus not to mentioned the PCI timelines and qualities issues. And I don't want that to happen to us especially if you paid for contract expired. And why I agreed to pay for contract expired or $7000, because the CSR or Mieke promised and gave us some considerations: 1. A discount of penalty, we are supposed to pay $15,000 but WH gave a discount and we only need to pay $7000 2. WH allowed us to pay in an installment plan. 3. WH will not start the building process if we do not pay the penalty 4. They promised in 6 to 7 months they will hand over the keys to my family We are now at 6th month, but we are still at plasterboard or gyprock stage. The problem here is I did not or I failed to ask for a document or in writing\email, which I cannot able to provide support. To all beginners and starters, always asked for documents, emails or in writing if you received promises. navylion Building a Wisdom Homes Manhattan 35 in Sydney North West MyBuildTimeLine: http://navylion.wixsite.com/mybuildtimeline Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12108Aug 27, 2018 5:14 am NavyLion WisdomHomes NavyLion Avoid the car! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12111Aug 27, 2018 10:40 am Hi NavyLion, Your situation sounds very similar to ours going on as we speak.. We are actually onto our second CSR now and its become quite a mess. The delays, the errors the lack of communication have all become overly frustrating. The admin in our experience has been so poorly handled i'm at the same stage as you are and are decided what action we need to take next.. Our contract has also expired and to be honest we couldn't have been more on top or prepared for our build..Good luck going forward! Mark, Can you please send me your Contact details so i can call you to discuss the possibility of a face to face meeting? I was actually going to call up to make an appointment today to speak to someone above our CSR and her Manager because we seem to be taking one step forward two steps back.. so i'm hoping we can organise a meeting asap. Regards Duncan Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12112Aug 27, 2018 11:05 am Hi All, I know this has been discussed many times here and I missed making my notes then..We have finally signed the initial contract and waiting for CQ to call us to book appointments. I know its just 2days of appointments to decide and 2hrs per appointment to decide on everything. It seems too less of time to comeup with everything the way we want. It would be really helpful of you all share some tips on what we can plan to do before going to CQ and what we can be ready with or what basic things we can plan and be ready before we head to kitchen, tiling and electrical appointments..thanks in advance for all your inputs and support.. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12113Aug 27, 2018 12:29 pm Hi All,
Planning on building a ambassador 33 and opting to increase my ceiling height to 2740 but due to placement of stairs along the length of the home drafting has reduced the width of our dining by 25 cm. Wanted to know if you any of you had faced similar issues due to height increase Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12114Aug 27, 2018 12:30 pm singalg @Alce4463, Just wondering if you know what height have they put the shelves in the walk-in? Hi singalg, Not sure on the height but they don't look real tall. We just have standard ceiling height upstairs and will be leaving the WIR open without doors. I don't mind it at the lower height as I like to use the top shelf to store folded clothes and I can still reach it at this height. As for the tower with drawers I think it depends on which package you have. We have the prestige package which only came with one drawer tower in master bed. We added the extra 1 to master and 1 to all other bedrooms. singalg Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12115Aug 27, 2018 12:35 pm champs2018 Hi All, I know this has been discussed many times here and I missed making my notes then..We have finally signed the initial contract and waiting for CQ to call us to book appointments. Hi champs2018 I suggest you check out all your inspiration on instagram, pinterest, display homes. Perhaps arrange a time to visit the CQ Di Lorenzo showroom prior to your appointments to see the builder's range and upgrade ranges. My husband and I are first time builders, and we did our selections before CQ opened. I went in assuming we could just pick some pre-set/popular colour schemes (I've seen a melb builder offer this) or copy a display home but no, there wasn't anything like that. Well you might be able to copy a display house now, since your kitchen and tiles are together at CQ and the consultant should be able to look up the colours for you. When I did my kitchen appointment with the supplier, the consultant had no references to show. For example, For our kitchen, (we don't have a window splashback) I was shown the lamiwood and decoglass from the builder's range, I didn't know, and wasn't told that I could upgrade my splashback to smoked mirror or even to caesarstone, until i saw it the final docs and saw the checklist option there. But thats my rookie mistake for not prepping and researching before our appointments. In hindsight, we made a lot of rookie mistakes lol. You really have to know what style and look you want for your home so you can ask for it!! Wishing you luck!! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12120Aug 27, 2018 12:59 pm stevezau stevezau We have finally signed contracts and have paid the 10%. Now moving into canvas quarter appts. Critical is the landscaping design to start with CDC. Few questions i'm hoping someone can help who has gone through the process 1. Landscaping - We heard Wisdom is far more expensive. We are def getting a pool with Wisdom but am thinking to do rest as minimal and do post-handover. Any other experiences here? - We really have no idea regarding landscaping. Is it better to get a landscaping architect to design something for us as we are really bad at design.. We want something nice and don't mind paying. 2. Experiences during the colour appointments. Did you get everything done in the 2 appointments? If not, how many times did you go back. Any tips/things we can do to be prepared to try minimise the return trips (1hr 20min each way for us to Wisdom HQ). From reading the posts.. we will - visit houses trying to find the colours/tiles/style we want to copy.. we are likely to copy the Aspiration from Leppengtion, we like the lighter cabinets style. Most other Wisdom houses are too dark. hopefully will speed things up. - look over electrical and other plans with a fine tooth comb to prevent admin re-draw fees. We are kinda in a race to get slab down before shutdown so any tips will be helpful! Anyone??? Esp the landscaping side, own plans vs wisdom? Hi stevezau I got a quote for the tiles used in the Aspiration. Its the Casa dolce casa, priced at $82sqm, and labour $94.50sqm. Hope this helps. Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE.
