My contract liquidated damages is $25 per day, of course, subject of terms and conditions.
Is there anyone higher than $25?
Ours is $40. Not negotiated, it’s the default in our contract.

I'm already at 34 weeks not including 3 week shutdown down period and I'm guessing I'm still 2 months from handover. Hope things pick up but I'd hope that wisdom also pay the per day cost for not meeting timeframes. Anyone know how much that is ? However my contracted build time is 44 weeks so I doubt they would ever need to pay the penalty. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12145Aug 28, 2018 9:43 am lombieagle 30 week contract = actually 40 week contract I believe the 30 week contract that most on here signed last year and then when construction commenced where told by their SS it’s actually 40 weeks is Wisdom being anti competitive and/or unconscionable behaviour. I understand that factors may cause delay however to up front tell your customer of a 10 week delay seems to me unjust. I wonder what the ACCC view would be?? I recommend anyone that is about to sign a contract to change the $15 per day cost for not meeting timeframes to something alot higher. I agree with that Lombieagle. I did not find the $15 per day cost in the contract just until a few weeks back, and did not feel the need to find it, as during tender process I was told by my Rep that build has to meet the contract period (actually well under the contract period - so we don't even have to worry abt!!), and if it doesn't, W will pay for any liquidated damages such as paying for rent that we may incur. I took that as a word without checking it in the contract, at myself. During our sales transaction (after we made the very first deposit and before the tender), we were able to negotiate from $15 to $25. 30 week contract = actually 40 week contract Thank you, now I know, why my SS always look down or scratch his head every time I asked for estimated month hand over. Well I think that depends if you were told. I know many people were informed that their build time had extended but I wasn't informed so mine should be 34 weeks still. Same. I also do not have any formal communication, and as per my SS's advice I did check it with my CSR and she confirmed that it is still 30 weeks. So, I am also expecting a handover in 30 weeks that start from 21st March (confirmed by my CSR). Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12149Aug 28, 2018 1:12 pm alce4463 Hi all, Thought I would share our progress so far. We’re in week 23 from site excavation. Bathrooms have been tiled, tap wear is in, bench tops are in, painting has started, wardrode fit out are done and electrical is in. Things have been moving steady since getting to lock up stage, with a few delays from the carpenters. Wisdom seems to get a bad wrap on here sometimes but I have to say I wouldn’t build with anyone else. We’re currently renting a brand new house built by another builder that has clearly cut costs where ever they could. Our previous build was also with wisdom and after living in a house from another builder it’s clear that wisdom build quality homes. You can get it from anywhere else. Do not make it took complicated. It also depends on where you build, as some councils do not really care so much. Some people advise to mainly make it grass. From what I hear, afterwards once you get the certificate, you can generally do what you want within reason. I heard that mainly grass, helps a lot with reducing any hydraulics requirements and keeping costs lower. When you get a bit of money, then you can slowly figure out what you want it to look like after you move in and have the full certificate. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12152Aug 28, 2018 3:40 pm kingofnowhere Has any one got their landscaping plan from elsewhere (that is not with Wisdom) There's a lot of places that specialise in just a quick simple job that will pass CDC or DA. The going price I think is anything from $195 to $295 to $395 on the internet.
