Things keep changing plan to plan. In fact I remember our construction plan had no requested changes, non whatsoever. Talk to your CSO but more importantly documents all delays so you dont reach expiry date for no fault of yours. Ive held back a bit on voicing my opinion on here but I think I have hit my limit with my frustrations with the Wisdom admin process. We had our colour appointment back in mid June and are STILL waiting on these to be finalised. 4 months on. Some of the guys have been great but other have had me pulling my hair out. We had a lot of back and forth on our kitchen as we signed our tender on an old promo and the quotes coming back had charges for the inclusive items. Then every time we signed a variation and it had an error on another point or other variations were missed and had to be resigned. I think all up we are about $3-4k over what we thought was our complete quote (not PA) for our kitchen. We now have had 2 instances where we have items included as part of a promotion or vouchers in our contract but are now being told they are not included. On contract signing our CSR told us we would hear from her each week, even if its just to check in. So far it has been a lot of our chasing her for updates or reply to emails! We waited 2 months for a variation to be sent through to change an external sliding door to a window. I honestly can not wait to see the back of the whole admin process. I don't understand how they can take away a promo that you signed up to and is included in your contract? Have you taken this up the chain of command as I have found that the consultants sometimes need to be asked to seek clarification with their superiors about these sorts of things. How frustrating for you, thank you for sharing. We have escalated issues prior so we are adding this one to the list again! I am extremely annoyed that they want to charge admin fee to change the stacker door heights. It is a structural change. However, it was not picked up at Tender stage because the house plan given to us was as basic as you can get. We had no window schedule or door schedule in the first place. How are we to know and why did they not ask us at Selections? Obviously we would not want two different heights on the stacker doors that are side by side. Does anyone have any advice as how i can argue this? In addition, they need to change plans anyway as all the doors and windows were incorrectly noted in the Submission Plans. Out of principal, i do not want to pay this admin fee. When we changed some of our fixed windows to stackers, our sales rep suggested to increase the height. If she didn’t alert us, we probably wouldn’t have known to change then. We are first time building and our sales rep knew this. Not sure if that’s why she mentioned it or just because she thought it’d look weird otherwise. Maybe you could ask why your sales rep didn’t mention the two different heights otherwise you would have changed them to same height. One, that is exactly my point! My Sales Consultant gave us a basic plan - no window or door schedule. How are we to know or pick up these issues? This is also our first build. So we are not experts. Now, from looking at that, how do you pick up stacker door heights when the model/code was not even on there. That is what i am trying to argue. Days before Contract Signing, i spent hours on Trend website looking up the window codes to make sure i was ok with them (based on the codes in ABOVE plan). I read so many complaints and issues on here about Wisdom Admin, Drafting etc so i wanted to eliminate as much issues as possible. How ironic that we would be facing these issues now. Out of principal, i am not paying the $1,500 Admin Fee. I think i spoke to soon when i kept raving on about Wisdom to family and friends We had similar issues. We only received the floor plan also without references to window types and no idea on the styles of windows so we just took what the sales person was recommending based off what we thought would suit. It was only during the contact signing that we finally saw the house elevations and realised that we need to change the bathroom windows as they were too small and pokey. By then we were under pressure of what we wanted and had to trust the right size was picked based of our description again. Even googling the trend window styles didnt help as not all styles showed up. One other frustration we found also was with the facade. We were told that the colours would be selected at our colour appointments. At our contract signing asked out of curiosity how much additional rendering part of the facade would cost and we were advised that it was a structural change and we would need to pay the admin fee - WHAT??? We disputed this and they waived the fee as were in the process of signing the contract. It would have been nice to know for first time builders what they consider structural and what you need to include in your contract upfront. Back when we were still with the salesperson I requested it be amended and it wasn’t. My salesperson then told me not to worry you can get it changed at your colours appointment. This wasn’t correct and I got charged to change it. To be honest though the charge didn’t concern me because things were just so delayed. Totally agree with Admin Charges. I was happy to pay Admin Fee for Electrical changes because it was warranted - i made changes due to personal choice. But what i am annoyed at as being charged Admin Fee when we haven't even seen plans yet. How do you make an informed decision based on one basic plan with no information on it, especially with windows and doors. Admin Fees should be charged, but it has to be at a stage when you have had a chance to look over plans that have the correct info. For example, if i had signed off on End Panel and Final Construction Plans and for some reason changed my mind about something, i absolutely would understand if they charged me an Admin Fee. But not when the only plans i have seen are ones with no window or door schedule. I first brought it up at the start of the week and this morning i received a reply which said her Team Leader said Admin Fee applies. I replied back and asked it for it to be escalated and argued my case along with screen shot of the house plans (same as i posted above) and she said she will escalate to Team Leader for review. Don't have photo's but don't think you need them to visualise white gyprock ceiling. Square sets shouldn't cost you much. It's the coffered ceiling that's probably costing you but Wisdom also overcharge you on any upgrades. Do you know when you should get the variation? Based on the issues , ASJ1981 is facing, I'm concerned they will charge me even though I have emails saying they won't. It will be on the same variation that whatever you are changing is on. You need to sign it to accept the change or change. They just won’t sneak it in your DEP if that’s what your concerned about Thanks Manhattan52. So if there are windows/door on my submission plans which appear to be the wrong height/size and the CSR has said, don't worry they'll be fixed on the construction plan, will the variation only be raised down the track (prior to construction plans)? I am just being pessimistic and imagining they will renege on the confirmation that I won't be charged a fee. From memory, it was the plans that were incorrect and not what we were officially supposed to have. But I have asked for a door to open out instead of in which my CSR has also said won't be a problem. Other things I'm worried about are the relocation and location of bathroom accessories etc, I've signed variations for these already. You can ask for 2 quotes so they shouldn't charge u a fee. If it's main flooring, either is fine I think. How many Sqm of flooring is required downstairs and how much was the quote?
