Katy is his assistant, so I will shoot her an email and make the change to Dulux Black, first thing Monday morning. I seriously had an epiphany this afternoon - I have had this pic on my phone for a while now and keep looking at it now and again. Our benchtop is Organic White. Do you think it will look ok with the white benchtop? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10383Apr 13, 2018 8:16 pm
I think you can pick any dulux colour. They just aren’t the included colours (if W even include poly cabinets now?) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅
Thank you MandM! Part of the Live Boldly Promo is an upgrade to Polyurethane kitchen base cabinets and two tone kitchen. I love a white kitchen, but I think I need some contrast and this kitchen combo I really gravitate to! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10384Apr 13, 2018 8:17 pm I think it will be a great contrast. Just make sure you specify Black in a satin finish. Head to Bunnings over the weekend and grab some sample cards to make sure it’s the black you want Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10385Apr 13, 2018 8:18 pm ASJ1981 I think you can pick any dulux colour. There aren’t any dark colours in the included range. That’s why I went white base cabinets and dark upper cabinets. Jenifermarie got them, so she could give you an idea, I don’t think they were super expensive, a grand or 2? Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10389Apr 13, 2018 8:26 pm Rocchet Had maintenance come through today. They are so good!! Team of about 10people crawling all over the place at one point. They even touched up some finishes on the wall that they didn’t like even though we hadn’t noticed them. Just a few more small things they need to come back and finish up mostly because a few bits hadn’t been delivered. We have developed an issue with some tiles in the downstairs shower that appeared after we had the maintenance guy sign off on our list but they’re coordinating with dilorenzo to sort it out. Such a good experience! This is so good to know, thanks for sharing. Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10390Apr 13, 2018 8:27 pm Yes they are unfortunately. I want to change ours after handover, thinking LIN1s. Also I think we need a sturdier mechanism to hold one side shut and those things that keep the doors open if you know what I mean? Interested to know of practical solutions as I can see our current set up getting busted up very quickly lol We have double doors in the study and upper lounge. Study was upgraded to LIN1 but Upper lounge was standard. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thanks Jordann. Not sure why I didn’t think to upgrade ours, seems kinda pointless having double doors if they aren’t going to be a bit of a feature. The LIN1s look the nicest but I’d have to put a blind on them to sleep once the sun comes up. Decisions decisions. It was another $300 to have our custom cabinetry in poly as well. When we picked our colours we didn’t have the choice of any dulux colour, they had set colours they would do. I actually wanted more of a charcoal colour but it was either domino or a mid grey colour. Might have changed since then. We originally wanted to upgrade all doors to LIN1 but after sawing the price we decided we can live without it haha. A lot of light do get in, even with the translam film. We had the LIN1 double for our master in the last house and would get blind when ever the light in the foyer turns on. I might just get HLR230s with some big handles like we have downstairs. Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10396Apr 13, 2018 10:06 pm MandM+4 Some pics from PCI. I forgot to photograph the outside and the main bathroom 🤦♀️ Handover on the 27th 🤞 Kickboards still to go on and lots of paint touch ups mostly from when the skirting was removed for the flooring and put back on. No major defects, a couple of architraves need fixing up, and one section of tiling has been missed in the main bathroom which we may just take a credit for as it looks fine. Happy with the house, I think for $500k we have done really well. Congratulations on reaching the PCI stage, and as you move towards the final steps of moving into your new house! It looks like quite a great story as I have read through your blog and watched your posts throughout the build right from inception to finish, with a great outcome.
