Some of my previous posts were about Additional Site Costs because they make me nervous . Anyway, looking at the diagram, how many lines is too many Would the Contour Survey tell me how much fill i have? Your build needs to be sited onto it to determine these. Until they do this costs can’t be calculated The survey just gives the ground levels at intervals in order to build the house correctly. I have an extremely large and difficult site with a right to left slope and site costs were very good Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12003Aug 22, 2018 1:14 pm Manhattan52 ASJ1981 So i requested a copy of my Contour Survey this morning and lovely CSR emailed it soon after. I'm glad the lines are almost equally spaced out as it indicates a uniform slope. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12005Aug 22, 2018 6:17 pm ASJ1981 becks81 ml117 Did anyone have many issues with the construction.plans. Got ours on Friday and spent the weekend going through them, found doors wrong, things missing or changed from the DA submission, kitchen plans not correct against Timpelle, laundry chute disappeared. Really frustrating as we should be getting ready to start, they better not try and hit me for another delay payment. Thanks for the warning, what sorts of things were incorrect? Was it difficult to notice these issues? I'm worried I don't have the expertise to go over the plans well enough to pick up mistakes or omissions. I'm the same becks81. This is our first build and in no way feel confident enough to know if there have been errors etc in construction plans. I wonder if i need someone to cast their eyes over it - like a professional! Wish i knew someone in the industry! I'm a trained auditor for work so I looked at the plans like I would doing an audit. I opened up a bottle of wine and went through the plans Room by Room and had all the variations and plans for kitchen, tiles, electrical etc and just cross referenced everything. Key things we found were 1. Kitchen - sink in butlers and stove were in wrong position 2. Some doors in the plans were different to the doors in the door schedule 3. Laundry chute has been removed 4. Some electrical points were in the wrong position but I should of picked these up earlier 5. We changed the tiles with Dilorenzo in the laundry but they hadn't updated Wisdom and Dilorenzo had the tile area wrong I don't know if it's worth getting a professional, you just need to dedicate a few hours to go through all your docs and make sure it's all right. Our CSR has been good, with following these up. A lot of these could of been resolved earlier if the plans were provided earlier. Just frustrating as we are living with the in laws and they are doing my head in so keen to get cracking Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12006Aug 22, 2018 11:38 pm CS199 Anyone gone with Square set cornices and Square set windows Is it worth the extra money Can someone share photos of what Square set windows looks like? I’ve made a mistake and happen to miss the back laundry door height!! and yes $1500 admin fee still applies. We only did square set cornices downstairs and I really regret not doing them upstairs too. They definitely look much more modern and with the lower ceilings upstairs I feel the cornices just make it feel even lower. Windows don’t bother me so much. We have them square set in our current apartment and I can take them or leave them. I like how architraves frame windows and give them a bit more presence. It’s all a personal perception I guess. Is there an admin charge for this? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12013Aug 23, 2018 7:42 am ASJ1981 I think better to discuss this with your site supervisor. if you go through the head office there is admin fee of $1500. Square set upstairs should cost around $500 for a 35 sqr house Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12014Aug 23, 2018 7:45 am psur2357 ASJ1981 I think better to discuss this with your site supervisor. if you go through the head office there is admin fee of $1500. In my Manhattan 35 all bathrooms windows come with square set as shown in the photo, originally only 2 bathrooms square set windows and the other bathroom got architrave but I asked the site supervisor to make all square set windows so that they are all the same. I think you could discuss this with your site supervisor. If you haven't signed end panel then u might be ok. It will just be a post contract variation but they typically limit the amount u are allowed Thanks doosra ! Selections were finalized and signed off in May. But there are little things here and there that I am finding I want to add/delete. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12019Aug 23, 2018 8:38 am asj1981 - any change get it done before the end panel. We just want to either move the powder room mirror to laundry or scratch it all together as we want to install our own and we are going pillar to post with it. SS said he can only try!!! as build is as per contract and any variation should come from admin and a fee will be charge. You could probably tell your SS to tell the installer to just not install the mirrors and leave it there if there is an admin cost and then you can install them where you want after handover.
