Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 12, 2014 3:15 pm Hi,
I searched for a Wisdom Homes generic thread but couldn't find any. All Wisdom Homes threads are by individual design ! I think it'd be a good idea to pool all information in one place, so even if you are not building the same design, you can get other ideas/costings etc. We are looking at getting a tender for the Providence 26. Has anyone built the (new 2013 version) of the Providence ? Edited 02/04/2015: We ended up going with Clarendon. Currently we are waiting for painters to start .... Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3Jun 12, 2014 4:02 pm Is the 2013 providence the one with the large dressing room? http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 5Jun 12, 2014 5:00 pm Extreme robbie55 Is the 2013 providence the one with the large dressing room? Thats the one. Ain't it massive !! Extreme Welcome! We are also looking at building the providence, albeit the mk1. Where are you building at? How far along with the process are you? We are still about to go to tender. We will be seeing a built house some time very soon. And then we will make a decision if to go ahead or not. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 7Jun 12, 2014 5:11 pm Extreme Ahh kk. Did you get to see the recently closed display of the older providence 26? They recently sold the homes in the older display village. You wouldn't believe our (bad) luck. The new owners were moving in on the day when we went to have a look. We didn't know beforehand that its been sold ! It would appear from talking to Wisdom staff at Kellyville V that it is a reasonably popular design. I am wondering why they closed that one in Gregory Hills before they built another one ! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 8Jun 12, 2014 5:45 pm Welcome Sydney-build! Good idea to create a generic Wisdom thread. We are building the two storey Majestic and have just received our first set of plans. There's quite a few people building with Wisdom at the moment and would be great to share ideas. We're building a Wisdom Majestic 35 with custom facade (a cross between the Sovereign and Contemporary). Land should be registered by August as we have been told, but we are still saving a bit more before we commit to our building loan. But we did go to One Minto and saw the Newton 24 on Display and loved it. For a first home, it's more than we need. Plus it's got the added home theatre which I really wanted. Using Tapatalk Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 15Jun 15, 2014 11:52 am Great idea Sydney-build! We're building a wisdom Majestic 45 with a savannah facade. Currently awaiting builders to return to finish bricking the second level. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 16Jun 15, 2014 9:18 pm hi All, we are looking at building the manhattan 36 with wisdom but there are some serious negative reviews on product review about wisdom. As you guys are building with wisdom can you please share your experience from both the pre build and post build stages Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 17Jun 15, 2014 9:45 pm I think most people will say most pre-build issues will be around the many admin errors and long turnaround times on changes through Estimating. I can't speak for the build stage as we're just starting but check out the blog for progress updates. According to others, the build seems to be quick and good quality. Does anyone know how much it costs for white poly for bottom kitchen cupboards? And has anyone used Wisdom Lanscapes for site prep? What did they do? As you guys are building with wisdom can you please share your experience from both the pre build and post build stages As Jaguar said the admin process is slow which seems to be the same for most as far as I have seen. As for the build we started pretty quick until it came time to brick. This took about 5-6wks to finish. It seems as though wisdom have been building a lot of display homes recently and that may be why. I think I read on this forum somewhere they built 5 homes in 4 months. I am 3.5 months in and am just about to start internal linings. Hope this helps. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 19Jun 16, 2014 2:48 pm We are building a modified Wisdom Trinity 33 family ( now 35).
