I guess we are at early stages, waiting for the rest of quotes like Kitchen and Lansdcaping to come back. All that have come back so far have been ballpark what I expected so can't complain. Ask away we are a friendly bunch Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 8642Dec 13, 2017 8:18 am Manhattan52 Hi All, I just wanted to say Hi and to thank you you all for your invaluable information. We are building a Manhattan 52 with the Diplomat facade the same as Oran parks Display home with a few changes and a third garage as a KDRB in Turramurra on 2200m2. We have also extended the outdoor area by another 60m2 wrapping it around the dining room and getting pool and landscapes done by WH. I had my appointments a few weeks ago and just waiting for the remainder of the quotes to come in. i don't hold much hope as everything is upgraded or specified differently to what WH offer. Luckily we are going through CDC as Kuringai Council is notorious for delays. anyway just wanted to say how helpful you have all been and hope to share with you my build both good and bad Welcome! The house sounds like it will be a palace, looking forward to seeing it take shape. The best thing i did was find this thread! So much info and these guys are a wealth of knowledge and a very friendly bunch indeed! I had and STILL have a million and one questions and there's always someone that's available to answer and give great advice! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 8644Dec 13, 2017 9:26 am doosra The fridge is not too close to a water fitting, but i think there may be a possible solution here. I could use the cold water fitting under the butler pantry sink. Then run the pipe from there through to Microwave then through to the Fridge area. I can hide the pipes under the butler pantry bottom shelf so it won't be visible. What do you guys think? Its a great design, and many ways to customise it to your own tastes and needs. Will be great to see it coming together, be sure to post updates. Even though we are finished building with Wisdom, I still hang around to see how the newer builds are progressing. Any questions, happy to help where I can. Oz. If you dont already have the plumbed fridge then a non plumbed fridge is an option if it gets too hard and costly to run the pipes after handover I need new appliances but have always had a plumbed fridge for ice and water. Can't bear myself to fill up ice cube trays all the time. It's okay though, the solution i proposed is easily achieved after handover and would cost me close to nothing to do. Just need to buy the hose and tap fittings and feed the hose so will probably pass on getting Wisdom to add it as it'll cost me a bomb. On the contract, it says 1k fee for non structural changes after contract signing. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 8648Dec 13, 2017 11:40 am just got a call from Wisdom and they're allowing the variation of the fridge fitting and not charging me a building variation because it really is minor and we caught it early. Thank God...I need to sign a building variation and plans just need to be updated so slight delay but nothing major. I have to say i've been very impressed with the CSR Team Manager. My CSR initially said "too late" but then i forwarded it to her manager and now it's all sorted. Although i've had challenges and been very frustrated through this process, they've taken my complaints seriously and Team Manager specifically and also the GM have really gone above and beyond for me. Great news! With the hydraulic blowout it’s the least they could do. There's a few of us building a Manhattan. It's a fantastic floorplan isn't it? We are also building a 52 (with significant changes) in Strathfield. We are up to the frame. Hoping to get that started before Christmas shutdown. We were supposed to be getting a small amount of landscaping at the rear done before frames, but the plumbing people (external plumbing) accidentally knocked a electricity power wire that belongs to our neighbour but crosses over our driveway.... so 9 days later we are still waiting for any action. An email this morning informs us we are responsible for arranging tiger tails, which I have now done. So I doubt we will get our frame up by Christmas shutdown as was first promised. The frustration level is still high!
