Yes, we had the fan and wiring installed post handover.
Much easier process to have W do a provision for it, but it can be done post.

Then we will finally start building our Manhattan 52 (modified to about 58sq). Has anyone else built a Manhattan 52 with the Diplomat facade? What was your total build time? Would be interested to see photos and hear about the progress of the build. I want to do some changes to the electrical, adding a few things. Has anyone done any changes while building the house? Not sure what Wisdom would say but I'm thinking of asking the electrician on site. I am building the M52 with Diplomat Facade. Just gone into production estimates. We are in construction atm (roof stage) Asked them to move a power point in the alfresco area and they said that will be 1K admin fee. Told them to forget it. Due to their unreasonableness and our terrible admin experience, we’ve decided not use them for any landscaping as well. Wow that’s rediculous, sounds like a money grab. Hope everything goes well with the build. We were happy with Wisdom the first 6 months but I’m not so sure anymore. They’re taking a long time to get back to us and the communication is not good at the moment. We have to constantly chase them up for answers. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 13053Oct 16, 2018 5:36 am jqcc0 Hi Everyone, Long time lurker first time poster. Thanks for all of the useful information shared on the forum. Its been great to watch some of the journeys as the builds have progressed. We are building an Ambassador 36 with the Hampton Facade and the enclosed balcony off the master bedroom. We have a few small modifications:
I would have loved to be in construction by now but the 4-6 week estimate from DA is now into week 12 without any progress on site. As has been pointed out a few times you get used to multiplying the worst case wisdom estimate by 2, which means hopefully a fence and toilet will be turning up this week (otherwise i may be one of those members who use this forum to vent my anger as a coping mechanism.....). Colour concept: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Hi I love your facade. Thinking of doing the same facade for a Majestic but without the cladding above as shown on the WH website. Do you have brick in lieu of cladding & did you render the front? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 13054Oct 16, 2018 6:00 am NENO241 jqcc0 Hi Everyone, Long time lurker first time poster. Calderwood estate down near wollongong has a display home (inspiration) but I think it has cladding around the whole top floor. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 13055Oct 16, 2018 7:50 am Unless W have changed the way they do it, it was pot luck for us as to where the plumbers put the taps - we had absolutely no choice about it. We have 3 taps in total (as standard), and per you pic, they put them in the same locations on our house apart from the tap near your outdoor leisure area (so we have just the one tap at rear of house. I guess if you pay for a hot/cold water point they will put it where you want. The front tap near the home office we have inside our side-gate, just so we have it as access for the side yard. It is also used as our central point for our Rainbird irrigation system. I told them i'm not paying $1 mil for a house and cannot choose where my taps go. We are paying for extra so going to get them added to the plan. Our CSR told me that we just negotiate with SS during construction, hope this is the case as my feeling is that we will need to look at the house in situ to make a decision. So trying to get it on the plans. I'm sure it will be fine. Your locations look good to me. We talked to ours, but was told that they place them in same positions on all builds, unless you pay W extra to nominate a particular position. I'm pretty sure the plumbers generally pick the corners of the houses and allocate the positions there. My experience is once in construction, the SS won't budge on very much at all, and will always relate back to the tender/plans and if you push harder they will send you back to HO to negotiate/pay more. Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted. How long are variations taking with other companies at the moment?
