I am confused if its good to upgrade or if colourbond or concrete rooftile is enough.. Yes I did. Paid 3000$. It will be good to expel the heat. We did some research and choose the concrete tiles from monier and their c-loc tech had long lasting color. We would of sold the house before it fades. We didn't consider heat tho.Maybe it might reduce our basix costs as we had to upgrade to r5 insulation in the roof.. I need to look into that. Might be better value to upgrade the tiles Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12693Sep 26, 2018 8:58 pm Priyasuresh11 champs2018 Did any of go with terracota rooftiles?? Is it worth the upgrade? We just thought it was a better value at that price and looking at its properties vs concrete tiles... Might be better value to upgrade the tiles I still have been asked to add R5 roof insulation for my West facing home. $2k upgrade. Supposedly the addition of a pool hindered the rating but ifso it will be ironic that ceiling insulation is the solution! I'm also looking to contact the Fryers Basix company to understand why. Need to find their number though. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12695Sep 26, 2018 9:11 pm Is it just me who thinks/feels like a variation 'In Lieu Of' really feels like you have just forfeited the 'included item' and you still are hit up with the 'walk in street price' of your preferred item? And how about the fee to have a 2nd colour! And how about the fee to have a 2nd colour! Well we felt the same..we are charged 400 for using 2 colours for our facade. Any upgrade we make has an additional price to it but what happens to the original one that is given in standard..not sure if we would get credit or if the price for upgrade is over and above the price of standard..
