Sorry about that, Cazza70. Any words of wisdom or warnings on how to avoid the problems you’ve experienced?

Hi all, Last month I contacted the Customer Survey team, we asked about one single request and why our build progress is very very delay. Then the CSR team comes back to us (oh God), they told us two things: 1. CSR said, every house is different, that’s why some house is ahead and according to the week progress, and some are delay. 2. CSR said will forecast and promised to give us a date or month of completion So, I tried to pretend that point 1 is right, that every house is different, except that our progress build is 6 weeks delay. Point 2, no follow up from the CSR, as usual, nothing. For those new starters and still deciding, please allow me to share our customer experiences: 1. My wife and I started the process with Wisdom Homes from May 2017 to January 2018. Why 8 months? We believed, during the admin process, we’ve been profiling us as ‘inactive customer’. Our estimates, around 80% who posted here experienced the same way. 2. After very long 8 months with CSR admin, we got slapped of $7000 because of contract expired. Coincident? I know 4 families who were contract expired too. 3. Then build, at 29th week, we supposed to have kitchen cabinets, vanities and floor tilings at this stage. Our assumption is our job number is set (again) to the lowest priority. You know when you are researching, deciding and buying a car between 3 brands or models, and at the end of it you have 3 options to decide: Should you avoid the car? Because you feel it is stressful after some time. Will you consider the car? Maybe there are benefits, the price is high but good quality, they will listen to your problem. Go ahead, buy the car? It is credible, they will respect you and treat you well, and ideal to your family. Ta, Hi all, I just want to update everyone, this morning our problems and issues were resolved. Wisdom team listened to our needs and frustrations; the GM, the head of the Engineer Department and CSR Manager rectify all the items we listed. Great news, happy for you! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12204Aug 31, 2018 3:16 pm NavyLion Jenifermarie NavyLion Another sample: Our initial contract plan (version 1) from the sales department was September 2016. Yes, 2016. Then we transferred to our CSR with our version 1 contract plan. We asked to change our floor plan (version 2) in May 2017, because we know it was not yet submitted to the council for approval. We waited for 4 weeks to get the final floor plan from the engineering, then signed it and pass to CSR. Then, CSR submitted our version 2 contract plan. Guess what, after 4 weeks of waiting from the council and we realized our CSR submitted the version 1 of our floor plan. So, we had to reroute again to the council to repeat again the process, at this point, we lost 8 weeks. Why? I don't know. Hey Navy What stage is your build at now? I think you started about the same time as us - our slab went down at the end of Feb. When did yours go down? We have kitchen and tiling done. We had our electrical and plumbing fit off done this week. Building Wisdom Aspiration 31 at Willowdale https://ourwillowdalehome.wordpress.com/ Hi Jen, We are at week 28, our internal still at raw plasterboard and gyprock. No update call this week from SS. Our slab was done on 21 February 2018. One of my neighbor who's building Washington 29 got his slab on end of March 2018, basically, I am ahead of 3 weeks. But now, he got his internal painting, kitchens, cabinets, and vanities. This makes me 6 weeks behind, base on my calculation. There are other 3 houses in our streets also WH, they already living in their lovely quality WH house. I remembered we all started the same admin process last May - June 2017. So, it means my job number is a low priority isn't'? Should I compare our build to the other competitors? About 25 to 30 houses in our street, 60 to 65% were already moved into their house. I am still here complaining So, if I am going to compare my house build to your Jen, we are 6 weeks behind. To all starters and beginners, make sure your job number is classified as High Priority and you are marked as 'Active Client'. Navy Hi all, The construction team explained what happened to our build and as promised it is now set to high priority, we are looking forward to this coming November 2018. Thanks, Navy navylion Building a Wisdom Homes Manhattan 35 in Sydney North West MyBuildTimeLine: http://navylion.wixsite.com/mybuildtimeline Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12205Aug 31, 2018 3:20 pm NavyLion Hi Singalg, Thanks for your thoughts and concerns. As per JeniferMaries's timeline, you are 4 weeks behind (your slab was the end of March), well I am 6 weeks behind because our slab did the 3rd week of February). As mentioned in my previous post, my neighbor's slab done also the end of March 2018, but he is now leading 3 weeks compare to our progress. My neighbor and JeniferMaries progress had features and items ticked which I can only achieve in another 6 weeks of time. I am really frustrated and alarming, I know two families who are extended to 17 and 22 weeks of build plus not to mentioned the PCI timelines and qualities issues. And I don't want that to happen to us especially if you paid for contract expired. And why I agreed to pay for contract expired or $7000, because the CSR or Mieke promised and gave us some considerations: 1. A discount of penalty, we are supposed to pay $15,000 but WH gave a discount and we only need to pay $7000 2. WH allowed us to pay in an installment plan. 3. WH will not start the building process if we do not pay the penalty 4. They promised in 6 to 7 months they will hand over the keys to my family We are now at 6th month, but we are still at plasterboard or gyprock stage. The problem here is I did not or I failed to ask for a document or in writing\email, which I cannot able to provide support. To all beginners and starters, always asked for documents, emails or in writing if you received promises. Hi all, The CSR team ticked all of the above, thank you Mieke. All good now. Our fab consultant picked up some missing details (I didn’t realise they were meant to be in the quote e.g. upgraded shark edge, silk finish to some laminate and some shadowline). Now I’m worried I will miss further details just because I don’t know where they are supposed to appear. It’s quite confusing how your selections appear in different areas, sometimes separately and sometimes in duplicate, i.e. tender vs schedule vs variation vs Timpelle or staircase quite etc. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12208Sep 01, 2018 7:30 am becks81 Has anyone had their kitchen/joinery quote done recently and had things missing? They didn’t quote me on requested items as they deemed was too expensive Caeserstone splashback missing Wrong colour caeserstone. I requested Pure White but they quoted snow instead as they said was much cheaper and nearly the same Wrong thickness of caeserstone throughout house Missing linen cupboards even though in my tender I’m not sure why I even had an appointment as they didn’t listen to my requests Also the Timpelle qoute was all over the place and was difficult to reconcile I thinks it’s great Wisdom are doing some kitchens in their CQ. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12209Sep 01, 2018 9:36 am We had an inspection yesterday to check on progress and catch up with our SS properly. We’re now at 26 weeks since our slab went down and 29 weeks since site scrape. We were due to have final painting done this week but some gyprock remediation took longer than expected so we still only have our first coat done. All our electrical, aircon and plumbing fitoff was done last week. We’re still waiting for tiling to be finished as well - our slab needed to be squared off for external tiling and some gyprock adjustments had to be done in our main bathroom so the window would close once the window reveal was tiled. We’re about 3-4 weeks from PCI at this stage (SS reckons 3 weeks unless we have more delays for fixing issues as Wisdom have a QA team that comes in to inspect first, then the construction manager comes in too before we get PCI). The items still outstanding are: - garage door and driveway (due this week) - internal and external painting (due this week) - internal and external tiling to be completed (about 80% finished) - wardrobe and pantry shelving - pantry doors to be fitted (opening was the wrong size) - carpet - internal doors to be hung (frames are in, doors are painted off the frames) - mirrors, shower screens and wardrobe sliding doors - kitchen splashback - balcony railing and privacy screen - flyscreens - door handles and towel rails Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Main kitchen area Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Butlers Pantry (with bonus husband assessing if it’s up to his standards for washing up) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Love the tapware we opted for instead of the standard inclusions. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Not so thrilled with the tiling in our laundry - we paid extra to increase the height of the tiling, the grout lines where the mosaic tiles have been put together are uneven widths (some too wide or narrow) a few of the tiles seem to have too much grout behind them to they stick out and the top where the tiles end isn’t completely straight. Looks like a DIY job I could have done myself (which I seriously considered to save the money but didn’t want it to end up looking like this!) Mentioned it yesterday and definitely going to be raising it at PCI to be fixed if Wisdom deem it acceptable after their inspections. We only picked this up just before we left so we will definitely go over the rest of the tiling with a fine tooth comb at PCI. Then the vendor will forward to your CSR. You will see all your variations in your pre-draft end panel, you will verify, add and delete then forward back to your CSR. You got to fix now or you might lose at least 3 weeks if you feel your kitchen variation is a mess. Our file went to production estimating 15th August and this morning I just received the slab invoice. It seems to be progressing very quickly which is great. Only thing is I still haven't received a call from my site supervisor or know who it is. Is this usual for you guys? I emailed my csr Friday but no reply yet. It's hard to catch her on the phone too. Just planning to do a slab inspection so would have been good to know prior when the slab was being poured so I have enough time to organise. With Caeserstone as long as your colour chosen in in the correct category the costingss are the same. Same with laminate Yes they do things very different now.
