It cost us $6,300 to upgrade from standard to 2.74m so i am guessing it would be just under that. Second question is, would they charge me admin fees to change this? I haven't received end panel or any construction drawings yet. I wonder if they can do this for us and not charge admin fee - i know it's a structural change but it doesn't really involved a re-draw. It would only be updating the ceiling height details. I guess it is an admin change It was about 4.7k or so for top floor being 2.59m. I'm not sure if they will slug u with admin fee but I'm guessing they would. Doesnt hurt to asks. Yeah, it does depend on council to council. We managed to ask for 2.74 upstairs, and was approved by council. Regarding extra costs, it was ~6K + ~2K for doors and windows. We didn’t have the budget for higher ceiling upstairs but they would have been nice. The 2.59 is ample. I’d rather have 2.59 on both floors than 2.74 down and 2.44 up since the cost would be the same but JMO. We have ceiling fans upstairs and the ceiling height isn’t an issue. Also our building height exceeded the maximum allowed by our council so we had to reduce the roof height, so no chance of our neighbours towering over us. The only reason I would have gone for 2.59 upstairs is for looks, not practicality. But honestly, 2.44 is fine. It just doesn’t look “wow” like the downstairs does. What suburb did you build in that limited your building height? What was the height limitation anyway? Thanks, So did Wisdom change your roof pitch? I found CDC is 8.5m and DA is 9.5m Crazy how you can’t even put a standard 25degree roof pitch on your nice 2 storey house, but council want you to put a $20k hydraulic underground water tank to slow release into storm water drains when we have the 1 in a 100 year storms (that happened 3 times last year) Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 11516Jul 10, 2018 8:09 am Our house has 2.59 downstairs and 2.44 upstairs.
