Thanks, the Ranghood definitely vents externally, however I am looking to confirm that the bathrooms also vent externally. The dilemma is that if it vents into the roof cavity, mould will form due to the condensation being forced into an enclosed space. This might explain it better than i can. http://efficiencymatrix.com.au/about-mo ... -humidity/ Usually bathroom vents just go straight in the roof space i think. So our downstairs powder room and upstairs WC have ducted vents because they’re in the middle of the house, but our main bathroom and ensuite just have exhaust fans into the ceiling because there is a window in those rooms. I forget the cost but we had the option to pay to vent them all externally. We opted not to bother as we have an externally vented exhaust in our apartment right now and it’s useless as pulling out the steam, so we ended up opening the window anyway. I've just noticed it on my plans, and find it strange why there is a downpipe there. Our downpipes are also in monument and I do plan to render our portico pillars in white/light grey. Thanks My roof just got done on my 2 storey and I saw one of those swirly vents working away at the top so I assume so Hi doosra, That whirly bird is for roof cavity ventilation. Im referring to this bathroom exhaust fans taking out the shower steam /toilet stench and venting it externally. http://www.greenbuildingadvisor.com/blo ... haust-fans The supplied fans are really not that great - they barely do the job. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 11036Jun 10, 2018 6:51 pm Does anyone have any ideas about costs to fit a butler’s pantry? I am thinking about getting an L shape bench top (either 20mm stone or laminate) of just over 2 metres on each length with laminate cupboards underneath, a splashback on one wall, a sink and a tap. Is there a big price difference between an undermount and overmount sink? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 11037Jun 10, 2018 8:38 pm One Does anyone have any ideas about costs to fit a butler’s pantry? Is there a big price difference between an undermount and overmount sink? Hi One, we turned our WIP into a Butlers Pantry and extended it a little. Our benchtop is L shaped in 20mm standard Ceasarstone. We added a pantry with shelving and door, dishwasher provision, a sink/tap (undermount), window splashback and base cabinets. All this came to just under 6k. We opted not to include overhead cabinets (extra $2500 by memory) as I may want to put open shelving instead after handover. Your quote may come back different due to size and layout etc.. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 11038Jun 10, 2018 8:48 pm ASJ1981 One Does anyone have any ideas about costs to fit a butler’s pantry? Also FYI, the cost to cut the stone for the sink was $550. We chose our own sink and tap (Reece website, which will be covered in Colours Appointment). If you choose your own sink and tap, you will need to look up the codes on the Reece website and/or go in store. Unless you go with what ever Wisdom offers. The window splashback was $485. The rest is charged by Timpelle. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 11040Jun 10, 2018 9:11 pm No problem. Also FYI, the cost to cut the stone for the sink was $550. I forgot you have to pay to cut the stone! We are not 100% certain on the fridge either. The Samsung French doors fridges we looked at are a few mm taller than the fridge space we were given, so I don’t know if that cabinetry could be adjusted at appointment. We have already added a long window in the butler’s, is a window splashback different? Is there anything else that need to be measured and ready for the two day appointments? Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted. How long are variations taking with other companies at the moment?
