I have asked why but is it too late now? Has someone come across this scenario. Great to see every ones progress and pics. Cannot wait for the admin process to be over and move to build asap. Regards KM Yep we had a window made smaller in our laundry for structural reasons. It ended up being so small that we asked them to remove it entirely. We noticed before we signed off our plans though. Ironically it reappeared in our construction plans so we had to request to remove it again but it wasn’t an issue. I used to have pics but I’ve deleted them. Maybe a google search would bring up my posts earlier in this thread. Truffle is a tiny bit lighter and yes I think more consistent. The clay used for the truffle is lighter, which is why we went chiffon as I thought the parts of the house where the edges of the bricks are exposed would be less obvious. One had more obvious dents in the surface, I think that was truffle. So may look a bit less smooth overall than chiffon. Thanks for all the photos guys. This brick choice is going to be hard!! PS. loving these brick photos! chinoandbebe Will you be having any render/moroka? or leaving it brickface? Our house colours are similar colours to yours, black windows but garage & front door is in surfmist which I'm now second guessing because your dark garage looks so good! Building Wisdom Aspiration 31 at Willowdale https://ourwillowdalehome.wordpress.com/ Thanks Jenifermarie, did they credit you for that window? No we didn’t get a credit for it - we originally changed our sliding door to a standard door and window, then deleted the window and kept the door. We never saw any credits or additional costs throughout those changes. Building Wisdom Homes Majestic 35 Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 10776May 14, 2018 9:54 pm Kazi Ninsta Kazi Hi Ninsta, I visited PGH showroom of Schofield. I also think PGH Truffle and Austral Chiffon are very close. I found Truffle has a Brown undertone. However, I have picked PGH Truffle. Recently there were few posts on PGH Truffle by me, Danik and PGH Pavers and Bricks. You can view the post with the photos. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Thanks Kazi! I had a look at the Chiffon but I found they threw a bit of blue so I’m quite keen to see the Truffle in person. I’m finding I’m struggling with the exterior colour choices and just can’t seem to picture what I want in my head! Does PGH at Scholfields have a display section you can visit without them being open? We found that the Austral bricks display at Riverwood still allowed you to wander through the eternal display without the office being open on the weekend. PGH display is not open after hours. You need to get in through the office. More pics of PGH Truffle.... Haven’t come across any major issues so far which I am so thankful for. Lots of minor issues, teething problem type stuff like- The aircon was missing a zone, they came back to fix it and one of the vents was blocked. Came back to fix that and put their foot through the ceiling 🤦♀️ The front door handle is a lever instead of bar handle on the inside and the latch is wrong, it isn’t a roller latch so the door locks from the outside without using the key. We’ve asked for this to be changed as it’s too easy to lock ourselves out. The door also lets a lot of air in so I’m going to ask them about that. Sentinel did our antennae, Clipsal did our tv points, so no one thought to connect the 2 together. Again, 🤦♀️. The boys in the household were not happy about having no TV when we moved in! The NBN hadn’t been hooked up either at that stage. But all in all our maintenance list is looking pretty simple *touch wood and we are absolutely loving the house.
