I was considering it but then it's another $700 or so upgrade as well. I don't mind the exposed rangehood but if you want to have the back wall and top part of the range hood the same as the colour of your cabinets, it's also another 700 odd upgrade as well. I may just get splashback installed separately after handover and will probably save 400-500.
Thanks doosra. For rangehood, we were advised by timpelle that its a straight swap without paying anything extra, however, we will have to pay for additional cabinetary to hide the rangehood behind. So I wanted to know if an undermount/concealed rangehood is better or the canopy one.
also for splashback - isn;t it already included in the price, unless you are going for an upgrade, or may be dependent on house plan?
Yes the rangehood is a straight swap but the extra cabinets will cost about 700. Splashback is not included, it's a clear window where the stove etc is and for the splashback to cover the small area on the side of the window is $250, but what i was referring to was buy a piece of splashback glass to lay behind the rangehood if i keep it exposed.
