Pricey may be not the right word but probably I dont cook so I dont see things need to be changed Thanks for the tips in advance. I agree with MandM. We upgraded $15k on kitchen and other than $3k for laminate panelling on a couple of walls the rest just adds up. We added integrated bin, extra cupboard and bench in walk in pantry. 2 waterfalls plus upgraded to luxury stone. Then added a cupboard above cooktop to have a hidden exhaust and a pantry cupboard, extra set of pot drawers instead of cupboard, soft close cupboards (drawers were already included as a prestige package). We don't even have anything in the laundry....we'll visit bunnings later majestic35.weebly.com Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 6491Jun 24, 2017 6:21 pm amcasper4u Thanks for your response. Yes, you are right for prestige it is 25k and 50k for signature. We get the luxury package with wise choice. Upgrade the ceiling ground floor to 2.79 cost 11k and for 1st floor 2.59 cost 6k. Upgrade the front door cost 2.5k We are planning to tiles or timber look tiles all the ground floor and timber all the 1st floor and for the stair also timber. Has anyone got similiar to these? So that we know how much is the cost? Thanks in advance. We are building a 36sq double storey and were quoted $8000 to upgrade to timber look tiles downstairs. That is with prestige allowance so would be at least $10sqm or over $1000 more if on luxury inclusions. We ended up upgrading to 600x600 standard tile instead but still set us back $5000 majestic35.weebly.com Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 6492Jun 24, 2017 7:38 pm lombieagle amcasper4u Thanks for your response. These were $45 m2 plus labour. We are doing all wood floorboards upstairs and staircase. The floorboards we chose was $80 m2 including labour but some went upto $150 m2. With floorboards di lorenzo charge $8 m2 to protect during construction. We are building the Manhattan 44 ensuite signature package so the tile/carpet allowance comes of these prices. We haven't receievd quote back from dilorenzo as yet. If you look a few pages back on this tread I put up photos. Hope this helps. Hi, Another newbie here, looking at a couple of options at the moment and waiting for Tender presentations. Our tender request is also for Signature inclusions for Majestic 35. At the moment, I am planning to go Carpet upstairs with wooden stairs (like the one in display home) and wooden look tiles downstairs. Other upgrades include butlers pantry. I am hoping tender presentation will give me a good idea on how much it is going to cost me and if I need to cut down on the things I want or if I can go ahead with with wish list. Lombieagle, interesting to see your timelines as that gives me a fair idea of what to expect. Hi singalg, wisdom will only put in allowances in the tender for any proposed upgrades and once you do appointments is when you get quotes and confirmed prices. Our timeline: Tender request = end of Jan 17 Signed tender = end of April 17 Contract signed - end of May 17 We did all appointments last week except Kitchen which is 4 July. Yes very slow. All of this is invaluable information for novices like me, helping us putting our plans together! Is that the Classic Facade you are going with? Great to hear, I found the same thing when watching the people build before me. It's the grand portico facade $4000 more (only $1000 after wise choice promotion) It was the cheapest facade I could get through with my estate guidelines. We did not have a big upgrade budget! I do love the front portico though, it's very impressive as you walk up. majestic35.weebly.com Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 6497Jun 25, 2017 6:34 pm Hi all, Does anyone have any photos of PGH Truffle brick? Wondering if there is much difference between Truffle and Austral Chiffon? Which brick is darker in colour? Starting to freak out because our colours appointment is this Thursday and we still haven't decided on a brick colour Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 6498Jun 25, 2017 7:36 pm Chinoandbebe Hi all, Does anyone have any photos of PGH Truffle brick? Starting to freak out because our colours appointment is this Thursday and we still haven't decided on a brick colour I'm still hoarding my 100 odd brick photos just in case we get to bricks stage and our bricks aren't available. First two are truffle, second two are chiffon. The chiffon photos were taken on an overcast day but they seem much darker to me. I didn't notice Truffle when we went out to PGH, as we were originally only looking at really dark brick such as Espresso, but we think we have moved towards grey brick now. Still a bit undecided, but at least I can cross off Truffle & don't need to make a trip out to PGH to see it. Thanks again!!! Starting to freak out because our colours appointment is this Thursday and we still haven't decided on a brick colour Hi Chino, These were the 2 we were deciding between. The samples look almost identical. Chiffon on left, truffle right. The truffle is ever so slightly lighter, more noticeable on a larger scale. The clay the bricks are made from is darker in the chiffon, so it may even be exactly the same paint. The chiffon has shallower grooves in it than the truffle so I think on a larger scale it looks a bit smoother. We went with chiffon.
