Pretty sure we have overblown our kitchen budget massively but we will have to see by how much what the quote comes in. We have put in a custom appliance cabinet and a shelving unit on our island. Plus we decided what the hell lets get it quoted for shark edge charcoal polyurethane lowers plus riven laminex uppers. We're already happy to fall back to plain laminex and handles for the lower cabinets but we thought we should see the cost at least (my husband hated all the standard poly colours)
This would be our poly kitchen door colours. Otherwise we will fall back to this colour scheme of Laminex Battalion and Honey Elm Riven with Fresh Concrete counters and 1 waterfall edge.
Overall we were at Timpelle for just under 3 hours The poor sales guy spent over an hour drawing a brand new kitchen plan with all my requests.
Tiles were easier. We let them do most of the hard work because I really hadn't come to any conclusions on what I wanted even after 5 visits. We decided against any type of wooden floor because I couldn't deal with scotia on the kitchen island.
Main floor and downstairs wet areas, we will have the matte version rather than gloss.
Matte white hexes for the laundry and downstairs powder room with pewter grout. Cabinetry in all wet areas and laundry will be Laminex Honey Elm Riven with either Raw Concrete or Urban counters. Most likely Raw Concrete unless the budget is ridiculously out of control.
Floor and feature wall tiles for both bathrooms, with hexes in the niches. Then plain satin white tiles on the other walls.
I didn't really want to end up with so many hex tiles and I'm hoping the bathroom tiling won't end up over budget.
Carpet was around what I had budgeted. If we have any wiggle room after the initial quote we will add in the better underlay too but it felt much better than the office carpet squares we have in our apartment right now!
Great choices, really can't go wrong with the selections.
I do hope that the budget for you stretches for the poly kitchen - they are spectacular.
We are fortunate enough to be able to have selected for our Kitchen & Butlers;
Base doors: Polyurethane White Cloak 1/4 strength Satin Finish with Reverse Shark Edges
Upper doors: Polytec Char Oak Vertical Grain Matt Finish with 20mm Door Drop Down (No Handles)
Tall/Pantry Doors : Polytec Char Oak Vertical Grain Matt Finish with FURNWARE M3163.192 BL Handles
Ash glass splashbacks
Caesarstone Bianco Drift with 2 waterfall edges for the island (40mm in kitchen, 20mm in Butlers)
The Mrs spent a bomb in our kitchen, but its an area we were happy to devote some $$$ to because its the centrepiece of the house. I hope it all comes together, as I hope it does for everyone.
