I'm going to try and get handover a week after PCI as I know there's nothing to fix. Ordinarily if there's no hiccups it should be around 2 weeks. I'm really hoping we can get our final list of touch-ups done this week so we get the keys on Friday or Monday. Did u get sent some documents from Head office before your walkthru? Eeeek! Fingers crossed for keys on Monday for you! I am a little disspointed that they haven't kept the 1200 entry door or dropped ceiling to kitchen that were on the provisional plans however, so now we will need to pay to upgrade these. Has anyone had any luck arguing this case with wisdom? Our AC vents were based around having the dropped ceiling, and how are we meant to know that a coffered ceiling in the media is standard but the dropped ceiling in kitchen isn't? Also, our working drawings include a microwave space which Timpelle have charged us for. The kitchen design hasn't been altered to include our selections from Timpelle, so I'm thinking this microwave provision is standard and we shouldn't have to pay for it? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Also, our facade is above. I'm undecided whether to switch the upper half to the left of the portico to Stria cladding. The portico will be rendered. Again, any opinions are appreciated. M Great the plans finally came through. I hope that the other issues are resolved for you in a positive way. I know that Wisdom will direct you to your tender for inclusions over what is written on the plans. Wisdom changed our Kitchen on the main plans to match Knebel plans as part of the final documents process just b4 construction. Oh that's good to know, it will be nice to see the proper kitchen plans on there. Did they change the tiling heights in the bathrooms also? I'm expecting to pay for a bigger entry door and the dropped ceiling now, I was just hoping not to Once we fix up the plans I'll post them on here. Nice to be one step closer! The logic baffles me! There are a couple of walls we need soundscreen removed from that were missed from the variation but that should be fixed tomorrow and hopefully we can sign off before the end of the week. Our optimism for starting our appointments in March are fading fast now. Oh and I fell in love with $185/sqm feature tiles over the weekend. Seriously need to commit to something before I have to sell organs to pay for the upgrades. You should be able to book your kitchen and tile appointments now if you aren't having any more wall changes. I know what you mean, each week that we don't have our colour appointment I add things to the list! Must be a ploy I moved more walls we made our WIR a bit longer to fit more IKEA units but because it's next to the ensuite we had to make the ensuite a bit bigger too so the walls lined up. I also deleted the wall between our butlers pantry and kitchen. My husband isn't thrilled about that and it's not on the variation today so we're going to play Wisdom roulette and if it the wall is still there on the plans then so be it he wins, if it disappears I win Haha...I know what you mean. It's crazy that Wisdom get you to a point where you just throw your hands up and say that whatever they come back with is what you go with - you just don't want to have to send it back again and wait even longer. Yes the bathrooms are also drawn up properly on your plans to match your selections with Di Lorenzo in final docs. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4518Mar 08, 2017 5:11 am psur2357 For a double storey house, do we need extra floor insulation in between the ground floor and upper floor? We have put soundscreen insulation between the floors. My husband ran around upstairs in one of the displays and it was pretty noisy downstairs so we decided it was a good idea. It's costing us $1950, our upper floor is 120m2. We have lived in a ground floor apartment with noisy upstairs neighbours for 6 years so we are probably more sensitive to noise issues than most. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 4519Mar 08, 2017 6:02 am psur2357 For a double storey house, do we need extra floor insulation in between the ground floor and upper floor? For us it depended on what was above it. We put some above our guest bedroom and above our media room as there were kids bedrooms there. We didn't put anything below our bedroom or above the home office. It's not a necessity. Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE.
