They're doing bathroom tiles this week and going for a first coat of paint. I'm sweating right now because if they slip up anywhere, it's game over and we won't make Christmas. Missgoldy79 Anyway what's the stain colour you have on your internal LIN1 doors? It looks beautiful. And yeah we have a Rosewood front door as well which by your pics is just...hmmm....orange. Sometime down the track I think I'm going to be doing a lot of sanding and re-staining of lots of the woodwork in our house Man, you guys are gonna be down to the line in terms of handover. We opted not to stain the internal linwood doors, as the quoted $400 per door to paint them was ridiculous! I'm going for a dark chocolate stain after we move in! Guess what I'll be doing after we move in And yes, Rosewood is soooooo Orange. I need sunglasses just to look at it! Weird how there were so few options... And our garage door is caoba and I'm really happy with it. Some caoba doors can throw red but luckily this one doesn't... Thanks for that info I've done the internal doors stained too in that colour - just the 2 right near the front door so they match but now I feel they will clash badly with our internal paint colours!!! I thought it would be more brown than it is? I'm certain the actual stain looks different to what they show you at the color appointment?! I am massively doubting all my colour choices at the moment Building Majestic 40 - wisdom homes I had my doubts when I was selecting, as the other available stains were quite light. But it is definitely very orange! Here's another look at it. The Rosewood looks okay on the cedar infil above the portico, but it's very bright on the front door. Driveway prep happened today (concrete tomorrow) and first interior clean complete ready for flooring. Handover anticipated within 2-3 weeks Awesome seeing so much brickwork happening with everyone! The interior goes a bit slower I'm afraid but the progress is still very consistent. We'll be in well ahead of our contract period if it's any consolation! It only seems yestersay you posted regarding your "chicken dance" for the fence going up I'll post a photo of me chicken dancing out front in three weeks time, too Wow! Looking amazing Missgoldy79! You wouldn't be building in Picton, near the Botanical Gardens would you? Did you use the $5500 towards your driveway? If so, did you have to pay much extra to cover the driveway cost? ...thanks! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3329Nov 08, 2016 5:03 pm Hi Chinoandbebe Yes, you are correct! Jarvisfield Estate, well spotted! Our driveway all up was $8000. Then we paid extra again for dirt removal, back concrete step, additional concrete risers and drains etc. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3331Nov 08, 2016 5:05 pm Missgoldy79 MrsLlamas2016 Missgoldy79 [quote="ShuddaBeenATradie"]Missgoldy79 you won't believe how much I've been studying your blog the reason being is that I'm trying to judge where our end date is, SS reckons he can handover before Christmas, I'm seeing how realistic/optimistic he is We're about 5 weeks behind you with the downstairs floor tiles having just been done. Thanks for the extra pics Building Majestic 40 - wisdom homes Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3332Nov 08, 2016 5:31 pm Missgoldy79 Hi Chinoandbebe Yes, you are correct! Jarvisfield Estate, well spotted! Our driveway all up was $8000. Then we paid extra again for dirt removal, back concrete step, additional concrete risers and drains etc. I thought it looked familiar. My sister is building there too, but hasn't started yet. It's so nice there!!! Gee driveways are pricey. I will most likely do the driveway with them. It will be a pain to have to organise it after handover. Thanks for that Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3333Nov 08, 2016 7:39 pm Missgoldy, yours is looking superb! Looks like rosewood was the colour of moment! We have picked that too, will have to see what it looks like with our other colours. We only picked it because I think the merbau stain looked too red. And we picked something to sort of match the garage timbagrain door we upgraded too. Mrsllamas I've just started doubting our colour selections as well! Just the main wall colour through the whole house lol. I think it might throw too creamy where as we wanted more grey. But lucky, uncle and cousin are painters if we really hate it! I thought I was passed all this doubt!!!! Hashem, nice pics of yours from the weekend! Looking great! We decided not to go see ours this weekend and we booked in a meeting on site with SS this Friday just to have a walk thru that we are allowed and actually meet him! And try and probe some kind of handover estimation from him Building Wisdom Homes Serenity 31 Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3334Nov 09, 2016 3:58 pm Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3336Nov 09, 2016 4:18 pm Looking good. What colour is your garage door? We chose terrain and looks close. Building Washington 29, Avanti Facade. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3339Nov 10, 2016 9:31 am Love it missgoldy!!! Looks awesome. Building Wisdom Homes Serenity 31 Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 3340Nov 10, 2016 2:55 pm We just received our tender ahead of our presentation on Monday. I'm pretty impressed with myself that it is only 1.5k over our initial budget point (and seriously thinking of trying to squeeze in a laundry fitout now!). But I'm less than impressed that all the mistakes I picked up before our request went to head office weren't fixed so lots of small details (and a couple of big ones) are wrong. And so the admin frustrations begin. It suddenly seems a long way from here to construction! Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted.
